Responsibilities\nInstall, service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.\nDiagnose refrigeration, electrical and mechanical faults.\nConduct preventative and scheduled maintenance records accurately.\nAttend breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.\nEnsure tools, equipment and company vehicles are maintained correctly.\nLiaise professionally with clients reliability and energy efficiency.\nProvide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or assistants where required.\nMinimum Requirements\nGrade 12 / Matric.\nRed Seal Trade Test qualification as a Refrigeration Technician or Refrigeration Mechanic is essential.\nMinimum of five years’ post-trade refrigeration experience.\nStrong experience with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.\nSound knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls and mechanical components.\nProven fault-finding and diagnostic ability.\nExperience working with compressors, condensers, evaporators and control systems.\nAbility to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings.\nKnowledge of refrigerant handling, leak detection and system charging.\nValid driver’s licence.\nWilling and able to attend after-hours breakdowns and standby call-outs.\nMust be physically fit and comfortable working in plant rooms, cold rooms and confined spaces.\nMust be able to work independently and manage jobs from diagnosis through to completion.\nReliable transport or the ability to travel to Worcester daily.\nStrong communication, customer-service and administrative
