You’ll lead a team of approximately nine employees while ensuring customers receive excellent service and that food quality, cleanliness and organisation remain at a consistently high standard.\nAbout the Role\nThe Restaurant & Kitchen Manager will take responsibility for the smooth daily operation of both the front-of-house and kitchen environment.\nYou’ll coordinate the team, manage rosters and shifts, allocate responsibilities and address day-to-day staff matters while creating a positive and respectful working environment.\nCustomer interaction is also an important part of the position. You’ll be visible and approachable, welcoming customers, handling queries and resolving complaints professionally. The ideal person will be comfortable stepping in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee the daily operation of the restaurant and kitchen.\n\nLead, supervise and coordinate a team of approximately nine employees.\n\nAllocate daily duties and ensure responsibilities are clearly communicated.\n\nPrepare and manage staff rosters and shift arrangements.\n\nMotivate the team and maintain a respectful, positive working environment.\n\nAddress day-to-day staff matters and maintain appropriate workplace discipline.\n\nEnsure team members are well presented and provide friendly, professional customer service.\n\nWelcome and engage with customers.\n\nRespond to customer questions, requests and concerns.\n\nHandle complaints calmly, professionally and with a solutions-focused approach.\n\nMonitor food quality and presentation before orders are served.\n\nMaintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and overall restaurant presentation.\n\nWork closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service.\n\nStep in and assist operationally wherever required during busy periods.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nPrevious hands-on restaurant, kitchen or hospitality experience.\n\nExperience supervising or managing staff.\n\nConfidence coordinating both people and day-to-day restaurant operations.\n\nStrong customer service skills and confidence dealing directly with customers.\n\nAbility to handle complaints professionally and calmly.\n\nGood organisational and roster-management skills.\n\nStrong awareness of food quality, presentation and cleanliness standards.\n\nA practical, hands-on management style.\n\nAbility to remain organised and composed in a busy restaurant environment.\n\nAvailability to work from 11:00 until closing, five days per week.\n\nAvailability to work weekends according to the roster.\n\nAbility to start as soon as possible.\n\nNice to Have\nPrevious Restaurant Manager or Kitchen Manager experience.\n\nExperience managing a similar-sized restaurant team.\n\nExperience across both front-of-house and kitchen operations.\n\nPrevious responsibility for staff rosters, shift planning and workplace discipline.\n\nWhat’s On Offer\nFull-time position based in George.\n\nFive-day working week on a roster.\n\nHands-on responsibility for the day-to-day restaurant operation.\n\nOpportunity to lead and develop a close-knit team.\n\nAn environment where strong customer service and practical leadership are valued.\n\nCompany Culture\nThis is a hands-on hospitality environment where teamwork, customer service and consistent standards matter.
