you will be doing:Design, build, configure and operate secure, reliable and reusable engineering platform capabilities.\nTranslate approved platform architecture and engineering standards into working platform products, automation and self-service services.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment and operational activities using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.\nDevelop reusable templates, modules and platform components to reduce duplication across engineering teams.\nBuild and maintain developer self-service capabilities, engineering templates, service catalogue integrations and golden paths.\nEnable engineering teams to provision environments and deploy applications with minimal dependence on central teams.\nWork with engineering teams to identify delivery challenges and continuously improve the developer experience.\nMaintain technical documentation and usage guidance for platform capabilities.\nBuild and maintain standardised CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.\nIntegrate automated testing, security scanning, quality controls and policy enforcement into engineering workflows.\nImplement safe deployment patterns, environment promotion, rollback and recovery processes.\nImprove the repeatability, speed and reliability of software delivery.\nEngineer and operate cloud, container and Kubernetes platform capabilities.\nImplement secure cloud foundations, networking, identity, access and environment configurations in line with approved architecture.\nMonitor platform capacity, performance, availability and cost, and implement improvements where required.\nMaintain platform components through upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.\nImplement observability capabilities using standard logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards and alerts.\nDefine and implement platform service-level indicators and operational health measures.\nParticipate in incident response, root-cause analysis and the implementation of permanent corrective actions.\nEmbed security controls, secrets management, access controls and compliance guardrails into platform capabilities.\nReduce recurring operational tasks through automation and engineering improvements.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to platform engineers and delivery teams.\nContribute to platform design decisions, technical reviews, engineering standards and the platform roadmap.\nCollaborate with Architecture, Software Engineering, Security and Production Management to ensure platform capabilities are usable, supportable and aligned with organisational standards.\nEvaluate new platform technologies through practical prototyping and evidence-based recommendations.\nImprove platform adoption, reduce manual requests and engineering effort, and enhance the reliability of shared engineering services.\n What we are looking for:Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.\n10+ years of experience across software engineering, cloud engineering or platform engineering.\n 3+ years of experience in a senior platform engineering role.\nExperience building and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms.\nExperience defining platform standards and engineering guardrails.\nStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.\nExperience automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment processes.\nExperience developing reusable platform components, templates and modules.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.\nExperience with automated testing, security scanning and quality controls within software delivery workflows.\nExperience with cloud infrastructure, container platforms and Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, and secure environment configurations.\nExperience implementing observability through logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards and alerts.\nExperience monitoring platform performance, availability, capacity and cost.\nKnowledge of incident management, root-cause analysis and service reliability practices.\nExperience implementing secrets management, security controls and compliance guardrails.\nUnderstanding of deployment strategies, rollback procedures and recovery processes.\nExperience improving developer self-service capabilities and engineering experience.\nAbility to translate platform architecture and engineering standards into practical technical solutions.\nStrong technical problem-solving and automation skills.\nExperience providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.\nAbility to collaborate with architecture, software
