the Role\nAn excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to take a leading technical role in the design and execution of complex process engineering projects.The successful candidate will combine advanced process engineering expertise, technical leadership and project coordination, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.\nThis position is ideally suited to a technically strong engineer with extensive experience in process plant design and multidisciplinary engineering environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead process engineering design activities across feasibility, detailed design and project execution phases.\nDevelop and review mass and energy balances, process simulations and equipment sizing calculations.\nOversee the preparation of BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications and process design documentation.\nDevelop process design philosophies, operating philosophies and technical reports.\nLead or contribute to HAZOPs, SIL assessments, technical reviews and process safety studies.\nProvide technical input into project scopes, tenders, cost estimates and engineering proposals.\nCoordinate process engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary project teams.\nProvide technical guidance during equipment procurement, construction, commissioning and performance testing.\nIdentify process improvements and opportunities for optimisation.\nMentor and supervise junior and intermediate Process Engineers.\nEnsure engineering designs comply with applicable technical standards, safety requirements and project specifications.\nMinimum Requirements\nBEng/BSc Engineering in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution.\n8+ years' relevant process engineering experience, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering or EPCM environment.\nProven experience in process plant design within the mining, metallurgical, chemical, gas cleaning or related industrial sectors.\nStrong technical expertise in mass and energy balances, process modelling, equipment sizing and process design.\nExtensive experience with PFDs, P&IDs, process specifications and engineering documentation.\nPractical exposure to HAZOP studies, process safety and plant commissioning.\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical work packages and mentor engineers.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.\nAbility to engage confidently with clients, engineering teams and project stakeholders.\n An excellent
