You will be a key contributor to custom software solutions, working closely with front-end engineers and other team members to deliver seamless integrations and high-quality products.\nYou will also mentor junior developers, review code, and provide guidance to support their growth. Working together with the Software Engineering Lead, you will ensure that the solution architecture meets the team's exacting standards for maintainability and performance. Our environment includes both private and public cloud, with a strong emphasis on containerization and microservices.\nWhat you'll be doing\nEngineering\nBuild, maintain, enhance and deploy software according to company's software engineering standards and aligning these standards to industry standards and best practices.\nUnit-test all software artifacts.\nMaintain current systems and develop new systems using the latest technologies.\nCollaborate with Enterprise Architects, Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Product Managers team in developing, testing, and deploying software components.\nProvide second/third line support to IT for software deployed into company eco system.\nAnalyse and resolve complex and high impact production issues where required.\nMonitor systems performance and ensure all SLAs are met.\nTechnical Leadership\nManagement of the implementation of technical solutions.\nTransfer of business and technical knowledge to the greater team.\nTechnical guidance and mentoring of junior engineers.\nFocus on the integrity of the systems regarding quality, stability, and scalability.\nContribute and provide expertise in the design, development, and implementation of the platform (s), ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.\nSupport to Software Engineering Lead\nAssist in code reviews.\nAssist in coordinating Pair Programming.\nAssist in implementation of best practices, coding standards and relevant methodologies.\nDocumentation\nMaintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, processes, and workflows for transparency and future reference.\nEssential skills you'll bring to the table\nThe necessary skills that we require for this role include:\nMinimum of 7 years' practical experience in the full software development life cycle as a software engineer or software developer.\nDemonstrates solid understanding of Software Engineering design patterns and/or methodologies.\nStrong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, with a preference for experience in C# and the .NET framework.\nDemonstrated experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.\nProficient in working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and writing efficient queries.\nHands on experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.\nStrong knowledge of Devops practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.\nDemonstrates solid understanding of Software Testing fundamentals.\nDemonstrates solid ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to the greater team.\nDemonstrates consistent passion for Technology and keeping up with the industry.\nExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations\nExperience mentoring or coaching junior developers.\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to accurately estimate effort and take ownership for time management and delivery.\nStrong collaboration and communication abilities.\nDesirable skills you've got up your sleeve\nIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:\nPrevious experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations\nExperience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests.\nFamiliarity with container orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes).\nKnowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) and distributed systems.\nKnowledge of in memory datastores (e.g. Redis or Valkey).\nExperience with messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ).\nExperience leading technical discussions and code reviews.\nExperience as part of an Agile software engineering team.\nA good understanding or security principles,\nAn understanding of JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue and React).\nComputer Science related degree, diploma, or similar qualification in software engineering.\nMinimum 2 years' experience in Senior Software Engineer/Developer role.\nOur values are non-negotiables\nOur culture is underpinned by core values that are linked to key behavioural competencies.
