The Stock Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock counts and identifying and resolving stock discrepancies.\nKey Responsibilities\nReceive and verify stock against delivery notes, purchase orders and system records.\n\nAccurately capture all stock movements on the relevant stock control system.\n\nMonitor stock levels and ensure sufficient stock is available for operational requirements.\n\nConduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and physical stocktakes.\n\nInvestigate and report stock variances, losses, damages and discrepancies.\n\nEnsure stock is correctly labelled, stored and organised.\n\nMonitor stock movement between different locations, departments or warehouses.\n\nProcess stock issues, transfers, returns and adjustments accurately.\n\nEnsure all stock documentation is completed and filed correctly.\n\nAssist with monthly and annual stocktakes.\n\nMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure system quantities correspond with physical stock.\n\nIdentify slow-moving, obsolete, damaged or excess stock and report accordingly.\n\nWork closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Sales and Operations teams regarding stock requirements.\n\nEnsure stock is handled and stored in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.\n\nAssist with investigating stock-related queries from internal departments and clients.\n\nPrepare stock reports and provide management with accurate inventory information.\n\nEnsure compliance with company stock control policies, procedures and SOPs.\n\nMaintain a clean, organised and secure stock/warehouse environment.\n\nPerform any other stock-control-related duties reasonably required by management.\n\nMinimum Requirements\nGrade 12 / Matric.\n\nPrevious experience in stock control, inventory management or warehouse operations.\n\nAt least 2 years' relevant experience preferred.\n\nComputer literate with good Excel skills.\n\nExperience working on stock/inventory management systems.\n\nGood numerical and administrative skills.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nGood communication and organisational skills.\n\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\n\nValid driver's licence and/or forklift licence would be advantageous, where applicable.\n\nKey Competencies\nStock and inventory management\n\nAttention to
