plan, promotes and manages turnover in order to achieve targets set\nManages all administration tasks and ensures that the store is prepared for a store audit by the Area Manager (consistent results over 90% are expected)\nManages in-store expenses and ensures that spending is controlled within the expense budget\nKeeps petty cash records and applies for reimbursements in due time\nConducts morning sales meetings to discuss sales performance with all staff\nAttends management training sessions\nConducts daily and weekly sales reviews with the Assistant Store Manager to discuss methods of extending the store and the improvement of all service levels\nSets individual daily, weekly and monthly targets for staff and reviews these regularly\nCompletes cash-ups and banking accurately and in good time\nEnsure cash deposit slips are mailed through to Head office on a daily basis\nFully understands all criteria in the Operations Manual and manages the store according to the Operations Manual Procedures\nPerforms weekly back-ups of shop electronic info onto the flash drive provided\n Manages all staff management responsibilities\nManages staff in accordance with the procedures contained in Operations and HR file\nCompletes staff scheduling within the store’s salary budget (public holidays included)\nConducts staff succession planning and performance appraisals on a regular basis and ensure that staff files are kept up-to-date\nTogether with the Assistant Manager, provides weekly staff training on product, customer service, multiple sales, merchandising, store discipline, policies and security\nIn conjunction with the Area Manager, participates in the recruitment of all store staff\n Ensures that the store provides great customer service\nMaintains good customer service skills, i.e. make customers a priority, greet customers and offer assistance, make conversation and establish the customer’s needs\nPromotes sales and assists the store in achieving sales targets\nCoaches new members of the team on how they can improve their customer service abilities\nShares information with customers to educate them about the products on offer\nResponds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems within the boundaries of store procedures\nOperates the Point of Sale System according to company policy and procedure\n Maintains excellent merchandising standards\nMaintains the visual merchandising standards within the store in accordance to the Visual File and regular Visual Directives\nConducts general store housekeeping to ensure that all areas are kept neat and tidy and that all fixtures are in good working order\n Manages stock control and store security\nRemains alert at all times to ensure the security of the store, staff and
