Ensuring all paperwork is correct and goods received are in good order;\nEnsure that customer orders are picked and dispatched accurately;\nFollow the correct procedure for loading and unloading goods onto the trucks;\nPrepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule;\nTransport company products and materials to and from specified locations in a safe and timely manner;\nFollow best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading the vehicle;\nFollow all laws and regulations both on the road and in the warehouse;\nCommunicate with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries;\nPerform basic truck maintenance, complete daily routine checks and logbook;\nTrack shipments and deliveries and obtain customer signatures when needed;\nReport any discrepancies and communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers;\nSupport company-wide initiatives to improve service levels to our customers;\nBe an active functional member of the warehouse team; and\nRespect the need for confidentiality, when processing personal/customer data; and any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer's business, as the employer may from time to time direct.\nRequirements\nNational Senior Certificate (Grade 12)\nValid code 10 driver’s license with PDP\n2-3 years’ code 10 driving experience in a retail warehouse environment, long and short distances\nStrong organisational and analytical skills with a methodical approach to tasks\nStrong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset\nStrong communication skills for effective cross-department collaboration\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, and manage time efficiently\nComputer literate\nOther Requirements:\nNo criminal record.\nNo previous dismissals.\nPrevious employment will be verified.\nWillingness to complete a polygraph and drug screening.\nNote: Employment Equity\nIn line with the employer’s Employment Equity Plan, preference will be given to (in order of priority) - African Females, Indian Males.
