Identify and access performance and risks and take or recommend business decisions and actions for the relevant business unit [PP&l, Cellars and Packaging] to assist and enable fact-based decision making and product and operating cost management.\nKey responsibilities:\nBe a co-pilot to Sites and JVs Production teams in decision making through solicited and unsolicited advice based on financial analysis and in-depth knowledge of business operations.\nSupport the business planning cycle of the Site (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan and Latest Estimates).\nPrepare and critically analyse monthly results and deliver timely management reports which include commentaries, KPIs, graphs, internal/external insights and/or benchmarks.\nManage and assess business unit performance against standards including: OEE, O/T, costing standards, Routing on SAP and recommend performance improvement or standards adjustment\nAnalyse and report on weekly and monthly production order variances, provide early warnings on deviations, advise on corrective/mitigating actions; review loss trends; ensure that the production Bill of Materials are correct and up to date.\nEnsure reliability & integrity of accounting records (accounts and cost centres) and financial information (P&L and balance sheet) through regular controls and financial awareness of functions.\nEnsure short-term interval controls are effective. Continuously review sites and JVs financial control processes and identify possible risks. Propose and implement solutions/controls to strengthen control environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.\nPerform monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal control principles and assist in stock verification as and when required.\nSupport business unit to ensure adherence to financial control policies (financial, IT and materials) and procedures and good corporate governance principles & practices.\nAdhere to Excise policies and procedures and ensure documentation and administration is suitably maintained.\nEnsure adherence and provide necessary support to the capital expenditure process as well as ensuring validity and accuracy of the asset register.\nInvolved in stock management and assist with stock takes, identification of slow moving and obsolete stock. Escalate to management team any stock risks.\nParticipate in cross site audits and stock takes.\nDevelop level 2 & 3 management financial competencies / capability in business unit.\nImplement new ideas and improve methods, systems and work processes that will lead to higher quality, better results, and reduced costs.\nSupport and assist site managers in compiling OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts.\nCo-ordinate the processing of budgets and forecasts\nManaging of the Monthly Barrel reconciliations across sites\nResponsible for the accurate and timeous end to end processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions, management accounts and reporting relating to the JV’s.\nEducation & Experience:\nBCom Accounting or equivalent qualification completed.\nCIMA/ BCom Accounting honours.\nMinimum of 3 years relevant experience in the area of Management Accounting and/or Controlling, ideally in Supply Chain.
