Our client, a leading name in banking and financial services, is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and enhancing reporting capabilities.\nDuties:\nInterpret Basel and Prudential Authority requirements into comprehensive business, functional, and technical specifications.\nConduct gap analyses between current systems and target regulatory states, assessing impacts on data, calculations, and reporting.\nFacilitate requirements workshops across departments including Credit Risk, Market Risk, Finance, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, and IT.\nAnalyze and document modifications to capital engines such as Moody's RiskAuthority, SAS, Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, Murex, or in-house solutions.\nDevelop source-to-target data mappings, data lineage documentation, and transformation rules for risk data warehouses and regulatory submissions.\nWrite and execute SQL scripts to profile data, validate risk calculations (RWA, exposures, CCF, risk weights), and reconcile outputs with the general ledger.\nSupport BCBS 239 data-aggregation principles by ensuring data quality, lineage, and control standards.\nEngage in Agile or hybrid project delivery, managing user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items within Jira and Confluence.\nDesign test scenarios, support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), parallel runs, and handle defect analysis.\nAssist in production deployment, stabilization post-go-live, and transition to Business As Usual support.\nMaintain traceability from regulatory clauses through to requirements, design, testing, and output for audit and regulatory reviews.\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Systems Analyst role within banking or financial services.\nStrong understanding of Basel and Prudential Authority regulations.\nProficiency in SQL, data analysis, and data warehousing concepts.\nExperience with regulatory reporting frameworks and risk capital engines.\nKnowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nNice to Have:\nFamiliarity with systems such as Moody's RiskAuthority, SAS, Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, Murex, or similar.\nWhat We'll Give You:\nA competitive salary package between R600,000 and R800,000 per year (Cost to Company), negotiable based on experience.\nThe opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a leading financial organization.\nFlexible hybrid working arrangements.\nAre you ready to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking organization?
