You'll be expected to drive projects forward, challenge timelines, resolve obstacles and ensure that commitments translate into completed deliverables.\nAbout the Role\nAs Technical Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, working closely with engineering teams, product owners, technology leadership and business stakeholders.\nYou'll establish effective project delivery structures, manage competing priorities and ensure that every project has clear timelines, responsibilities, dependencies and measurable outcomes.\nThe environment combines Agile delivery practices with structured project governance, so you'll need to be comfortable moving between sprint planning, technical discussions, stakeholder meetings and formal project controls.\nThis is a highly visible position where you'll play an important role in improving delivery discipline, creating accountability and ensuring technology initiatives are completed successfully.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Delivery & Ownership\nTake full ownership of technology project delivery from initiation through to completion.\n\nDefine appropriate delivery approaches, governance structures and project methodologies.\n\nEstablish project timelines, milestones, phase gates and delivery requirements.\n\nEnsure projects are delivered on time and aligned with agreed business objectives.\n\nManage multiple concurrent projects across different teams and stakeholder groups.\n\nIdentify potential delays early and implement recovery plans to keep delivery on track.\n\nManage timeline changes through structured change-control processes.\n\nProject Planning & Governance\nDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, delivery checklists and task allocations.\n\nManage project dependencies, risks, assumptions and issues through structured RAID logs.\n\nEstablish clear stakeholder communication plans and reporting processes.\n\nLead project kick-offs, status meetings, steering committee meetings and phase-gate reviews.\n\nFacilitate project retrospectives and formal close-out processes.\n\nEnsure actions, responsibilities and commitments are documented and followed through.\n\nMaintain accurate project documentation and delivery reporting.\n\nAgile & Technical Delivery\nWork closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nParticipate in sprint planning sessions and daily stand-ups.\n\nEnsure sprint commitments align with overall project timelines and deliverables.\n\nIdentify technical dependencies and delivery risks before they affect project outcomes.\n\nEngage confidently with technical teams to understand project complexity and challenge estimates where appropriate.\n\nUse project management tools such as Jira to manage tasks, track progress and produce status reports.\n\nBalance Agile delivery practices with traditional project management controls.\n\nStakeholder & Cross-Functional Management\nCoordinate delivery across engineering, product, operations, finance and client-facing teams.\n\nBuild strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and technology leadership.\n\nChair meetings confidently and ensure decisions lead to clear actions.\n\nHold project contributors accountable for agreed commitments and deadlines.\n\nResolve cross-functional dependencies and remove obstacles that could delay delivery.\n\nCommunicate project progress, risks and challenges clearly to senior stakeholders.\n\nEnsure business and technical teams remain aligned throughout delivery.\n\nPerformance, Reporting & Sign-Off\nDefine and agree on project success measures before development begins.\n\nMonitor progress against project objectives, timelines and delivery commitments.\n\nProduce clear, accurate project status reports.\n\nTrack risks, issues and dependencies through to resolution.\n\nCoordinate stakeholder reviews and formal project sign-off.\n\nEnsure project outcomes are validated against agreed success criteria.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nEssential Requirements\n3-5 years of Project Management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering technology projects.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects across different teams and stakeholder groups.\n\nStrong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and traditional project management controls.\n\nPractical experience with project planning, dependency management, RAID logs and change control.\n\nHands-on experience using Jira or similar project delivery tools, including creating and maintaining project status reports.\n\nSufficient technical understanding to engage confidently with software engineering teams and challenge technical estimates.\n\nExperience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.\n\nStrong organisational and project administration skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication.\n\nConfidence chairing meetings and engaging with senior stakeholders.\n\nAbility to constructively challenge deadlines, manage expectations and hold stakeholders accountable.\n\nA proactive approach to identifying and resolving delivery challenges.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to following through on actions.\n\nAbility to work from the Melrose Arch office during business hours, with one remote day per week.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership of project outcomes rather than relying on escalation alone to move things forward.\nNice to Have\nFormal Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PSM or equivalent.\n\nPrevious experience in consulting or engagement management.\n\nExperience delivering technology projects within financial services.\n\nExposure to FinTech or international tax-related environments.\n\nExperience working with technology platforms
