Technical Sales Representative / Engineer

Sales & Business Development

• Develop new B2B business and identify new sales opportunities.
• Prospect and canvass for new customers.
• Maintain, develop and grow existing customer relationships.
• Prepare quotations and proposals.
• Upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.

• Conduct customer site visits and provide technical support.
• Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Install, maintain and service water meters and dosing equipment.
• Provide softener servicing and assist with specification requirements.
• Troubleshoot customer queries and provide practical technical solutions.
• Prepare customer reports and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and manage SLAs where required.

What you’ll need

• BSc Chemistry / Chemical Engineering, National Diploma, BTech or related technical qualification.
• Minimum 3-4 years' technical experience and 2-3 years' B2B sales / business development experience.
• Experience within a technical, industrial, chemical or water treatment environment.
• Technical exposure to areas such as water treatment, dosing equipment, softeners, boiler/cooling water, effluent treatment, hygiene/sanitation or speciality chemicals will be advantageous.
• Experience dealing with industrial clients in manufacturing, food processing, mining, agriculture or similar environments will be advantageous.
• Valid Code B driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Willing and able to travel regularly to customer sites.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships.

• Salary: R30,000 - R50,000 CTC per month, depending on experience and qualifications.

• North West is the preferred location, although suitable candidates based in Gauteng will also be considered.
