This role is essential for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting through the rigorous application of the COSO framework and PCAOB requirements. You will oversee the end-to-end SOX lifecycle, from risk assessment and scoping to deficiency evaluation and remediation oversight.\nKey Performance Areas:\nProgramme Management: Lead the day-to-day execution of the SOX compliance programme in accordance with approved methodologies and regulatory timelines.\n\nRisk & Scoping: Perform and coordinate SOX risk assessments, including materiality calculations and account/location scoping.\n\nControl Design: Lead the identification and documentation of key financial reporting and IT-dependent controls (RCMs and process flows).\n\nEffectiveness Testing: Coordinate the evaluation of control design and operating effectiveness, identifying execution risks and bottlenecks.\n\nDeficiency Evaluation: Perform detailed assessments of control deficiencies, including root cause analysis and severity assessment, and draft evaluations for senior management.\n\nReporting & Certification: Manage quarterly Control Self-Assessment (CSA) and Control Environment Questionnaire (CEQ) processes.\n\nStakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for process owners, IT control owners, and external auditors.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nEducation: NQF 8 (Postgraduate Diploma / Honours Degree / Professional Qualification).\n\nProfessional Experience: * Minimum of 5 years’ SOX-related experience.\nAt least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or senior specialist role.\n\nTechnical Expertise: * Strong experience in SOX control documentation (IT and non-IT) and process flow evaluation.\nPractical experience applying the COSO Internal Control Framework.\n\nAdvanced understanding of SOX Sections 404 and 302.\n\nCompliance: Clear credit and security screening record.\n\nAdvantageous: CA(SA) qualification and experience within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.\n\nReady to manage financial integrity at a global scale?\n?
