Drafting financial statements on Draftworx is a critical skill for the job. Have a decent understanding of Xero and a willingness to learn the system will go a long way.\nDuties include:\nAnnual Financial Statements (50%):\nPrepare annual financial statements on Draftworx Cloud.\nPreparation and drafting of independent review files, including:\nPreparing lead schedules and working programs\n\nLiaising with the client on year-end queries\n\nPreparing reconciliations for the independent review file\n\nDrafting financial statements on Draftworx Cloud\n\nLiaising and ensuring that year-end entries are raised in the client’s accounting system\n\nPreparation of year-end files and obtaining supporting documentation\n\nAccounting (50%):\nCapture all bank transactions in Xero.\n\nPerform monthly loan and other journal entries to keep accounting accurate and complete.\n\nAnalysing investment statements, prepare supporting schedules and raising journals accordingly.\n\nRun reports in Xero for bi-monthly management accounts.\n\nAgreeing returns received on investments against tax certificates.\n\nRaising profit / (loss) entries on sale of investments to agree to supporting schedules.\n\nRunning interest schedules and raising journals accordingly.\n\nLiaising with the client and intermediaries to request information.\n\nSaving statements and completing forms in line with the client’s request.\n\nRequirements:\n3 - 5 years’ experience at an accounting practice\n\nB.Com is an advantage, but not necessary\n\nTeam players with a high level of communication\n\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
