It's free to apply.\nJob Type: Full-time/Contract\nKey Responsibilities:\nInstall, maintain, and repair overhead electrical power lines and systems.\nInspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and diagnose problems.\nAdhere to strict safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.\nUse a variety of tools and equipment, such as power tools, measuring devices, and vehicles equipped with hydraulic lifts.\nClimb poles using belts\nWork in various environments and weather conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and remote areas.\nCollaborate with other utility workers and professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively.\nRead and interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical manuals.\nCommunicate effectively with the public, colleagues, and supervisors.\nQualifications:\nCompletion of training in electrical linework.\nRelevant certifications, such as a climbing certification, lineman electrical training, and lineman health and safety training.\nSkills and Competencies:\nStrong understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and distribution.\nPhysical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.\nAttention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.\nProblem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills.\nCommitment to ongoing learning and professional development.\nWorking Conditions:\nLinemen are expected to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and snow.\nThe role involves traveling to different sites and you will be based in the Canada.\nWorking hours can include shifts, weekends, and public holidays.\nApplication Process:\nInterested candidates should submit a CV and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience related to the role and upload certifications.
