This role offers a chance to work on innovative projects in the Oil and Gas sector across the UK, enhancing your skills while contributing to critical infrastructure.\nThere are 3 live projects you could end up working on, all of which are landmark jobs in the UK. There are strict requirements. In order to be eligible for shortlisting for a Trade Test in Trinidad, you must meet the requirements below.\nEssential Requirements:\nThis job requires extremely experienced and talented Fabricators. You must have or be:\nMust be a competent Fabricators. Do not apply if you lack the experience.\nMinimum 5 years experience. Do not apply if you have less, you're time will come.\nHave a smart phone that you can use and an email address that isn't at capacity. A large element of 'surviving' in the UK requires use of a Smartphone. \nA Completely Clean Police Record (COC). You will not pass the security clearance without it. The government will find out and you'll waste everyone's time if you lie. You categorically will not get the job. Also needed for trade test, receipts are not acceptable.\nTraining Certificates (Not ASME Codes, they're not recognised in the UK). We need your YTEPP, NESC or similar training certificate. If you do not have them, you will need to apply to NESC or YTEPP for a PLAR assessment.\nResume. Must be up to date. Must not be a scanned image. Must be editable so we can redact personal information.\nIf your CV only has job titles for each experience, you need to add more. You must expand on what you were working on, what project you were on, what types bends, conditions, what types of materials, what dimension/diameter of materials, achievements. Remember, everyone in Trinidad knows other Trinidadians, people in the UK have no idea who you are. This is your one chance to stand out and it's on a resume. Anyone who sends in a CV with just a job title 'Welder' for experience and nothing else will be disqualified.\nDo not share your passport scans with us, do not put your passport number in the CV.\nWork History - must be up to date and accurate. Gaps need to be accounted for. Everything needs to be dated from and to. Any Resume without dates will be disqualified. It's a requirement for the security checking.\nReferences. The UK Visa is the most expensive in the world, hence why only the best candidates will be tested, and potentially offered work.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nRequirements\nValid trade certification or equivalent qualification in Fabrication..\nDemonstrated experience as a Fabricator in an industrial environment.\nStrong capability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nComprehensive knowledge of various pipe materials, fittings, and systems.\nExperience in using industry-related tools and equipment safely and effectively.\nExcellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.\nStrong ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.\nCommitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.\nFlexibility to work extended hours to meet project requirements.\nAbility to successfully meet Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.\nReading Technical Drawings: Interpreting engineering blueprints to determine precise measurements and fabrication requirements.\nMarking and Cutting: Using centre punches, plasma torches, or heavy-duty guillotines to accurately mark and cut metal plates.\n Shaping and Forming: Bending and shaping thick steel plates (typically thicker than 3mm) using large rollers and hydraulic presses.\nAssembly and Tacking: Using cranes, hoists, and rigging to move heavy plates into place.
