Location: Mainly the West of Ireland, with projects elsewhere in Ireland

Engagement: To be agreed based on experience and availability

Pay: €30 to €35 per square meter.

Role Summary

We are recruiting experienced metal roofers and cladding installers for projects located mainly

throughout the West of Ireland. The majority of the work involves aluminium and zinc standing-

seam roofing and wall cladding, with a smaller amount of flashing work to roof perimeters,

windows and doors.

Strong standing-seam panel-installation experience is the main requirement. Candidates with good

panel skills but less experience producing complicated bespoke flashing details are still encouraged to

apply. A strong Team of 10 workers is needed for this project. A roofing Crew are welcome to

collectively apply for this contract.

Main Responsibilities

• Set out and install aluminium and zinc standing-seam roofing and cladding systems.
• Measure, cut, form and fit metal panels accurately.
• Install underlays, clips, fixings and associated components in accordance with drawings and

manufacturer requirements.

• Form and install flashings to roof perimeters, parapets, eaves, verges and ridges.
• Complete weatherproof details around windows, doors, roof penetrations and other openings.
• Read and work from architectural drawings, roof plans and site measurements, checking

substrates and supporting structures before installation and reporting any issues.

• Produce clean, straight seams and a high-quality architectural finish while protecting completed

metal surfaces from damage.

• Work safely from scaffolding, access platforms and roof-level fall-protection systems, while

keeping work areas tidy and coordinating effectively with supervisors, installers and site-

management teams.

Essential Requirements

• Proven practical experience installing standing-seam metal roofing or cladding.
• Experience working with aluminium, zinc or similar architectural sheet-metal systems.
• Ability to set out, measure, cut and install panels accurately.
• Good understanding of weathering, overlaps, clips, joints and water-shedding details.
• Ability to use hand-seaming, folding and sheet-metal installation tools safely.
• Comfortable and competent working at height.
• Good timekeeping, reliability and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel between projects, mainly throughout the West of Ireland.

Advantageous Experience

• Two or more years’ experience in standing-seam roofing or cladding, including double-lock,

single-lock or snap-lock systems.

• Experience forming flashings around windows, doors, parapets and roof penetrations.
• Ability to operate folding, profiling or roll-forming equipment.
• Working at Heights and MEWP or cherry-picker certification, together with a full Category B

driving licence.

• Experience installing gutters, downpipes, copings or façade cladding.
