Business Analyst - Telecom

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analyst - Telecom based in India.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in translating business needs into effective technology solutions within a telecom and managed services environment. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements, improve processes, and support successful solution delivery. The role combines business analysis, data interpretation, process optimization, and project support in a fully remote setting. You will serve as a critical bridge between technical and non-technical teams, helping ensure clarity throughout the delivery lifecycle. Your analysis and recommendations will contribute directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Reporting to senior IT leadership, you will have strong visibility and meaningful influence across cross-functional initiatives.

Accountabilities:

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment and obtaining appropriate sign-off.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and technical documentation that development and IT teams can effectively execute.
• Assess the feasibility, dependencies, risks, and technical implications of proposed business requirements and solutions.
• Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design or recommend optimized process flows aligned with business objectives, operational needs, and industry best practices.
• Conduct data analysis to identify transformation requirements, uncover insights, and support informed business decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and other analytical outputs to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
• Partner with IT and technical teams to design sustainable solutions that address business requirements.
• Perform high-level functional testing and validate solutions against agreed specifications before User Acceptance Testing.
• Support business users throughout UAT and help ensure a smooth transition of approved solutions into production.
• Act as the primary communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, maintaining shared understanding and alignment.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide transparency around project scope, requirements, changes, risks, and progress.
• Support Project Managers with planning, timelines, milestone tracking, and coordination to help ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within telecom, ISP, managed services, or a related technology environment.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, document processes, and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical or business concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with remote, distributed, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent business analysis and collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL or similar data-querying tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices and Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Understanding of telecom, ISP, or managed services business environments is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfortable working across time zones and using remote collaboration tools.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with business and technical teams.
