Consultor(a) ABAP Pleno

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultor(a) ABAP Pleno based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on SAP development opportunity for an experienced ABAP professional working predominantly in an SAP ECC environment.

You will contribute to both new development and the analysis, maintenance, and enhancement of existing solutions.

A key part of the role involves designing and supporting integrations between systems using established SAP communication technologies.

You will work on technically complex demands where strong debugging and analytical skills are essential.

The position offers a high level of autonomy, requiring you to understand existing code and confidently deliver robust technical solutions.

You’ll collaborate in a structured remote environment with a focus on technical quality, problem-solving, and reliable delivery.

This role is particularly suited to a consolidated mid-level ABAP professional who is comfortable taking ownership of complex challenges.

Accountabilities

• Develop new ABAP programs and technical solutions within a predominantly SAP ECC environment.
• Analyze existing ABAP programs and understand their architecture, functionality, and business logic.
• Perform maintenance, enhancements, and corrections on existing ABAP solutions.
• Conduct detailed technical analysis and debugging to identify root causes and support development and maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain integrations between systems using APIs, BAPIs, RFCs, and other system communication mechanisms.
• Take ownership of technically complex development and integration requests, working with a high degree of autonomy.
• Investigate technical issues systematically and deliver solutions that are stable, maintainable, and aligned with existing environments.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide clear reasoning around proposed solutions and implementation approaches.

Requirements

• Solid, hands-on professional experience with ABAP development, at a level consistent with an established mid-level or senior professional.
• Strong experience working with SAP ECC environments and existing ABAP solutions.
• Proven experience developing and supporting system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of APIs and their application in enterprise integrations.
• Strong knowledge of BAPIs and SAP integration mechanisms.
• Strong knowledge of RFCs and other technologies used for communication between systems.
• Advanced analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to investigate complex programs and identify technical root causes.
• Ability to understand, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing solutions independently.
• Technical capability to design and develop new ABAP programs in complex scenarios.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
• High degree of autonomy when handling complex technical requirements.
• Ability to work remotely within the agreed business schedule of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Availability to dedicate working hours fully to the assignment; the role may require remaining in a virtual workroom during business hours, limiting the ability to perform parallel activities.
• Willingness to participate in a technical interview where additional project and technical details will be discussed.
