Data Scientist with Machine Learning

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Scientist with Machine Learning based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design and deploy machine learning solutions that turn complex data into actionable business insights. You will work across predictive analytics, statistical modeling, forecasting, and MLOps to build reliable solutions for real-world business challenges. The position combines hands-on Python development with modern machine learning frameworks, cloud technologies, and data engineering practices. You will have ownership across the model lifecycle, from data preparation and feature engineering through deployment, monitoring, and optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders will be essential to translate business needs into scalable AI and ML solutions. The role is well suited to an experienced data scientist who enjoys solving analytical problems and working independently in a remote environment.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that address business requirements and deliver measurable analytical value.
• Build forecasting solutions using established time-series techniques such as ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet.
• Develop predictive analytics and statistical models to support data-driven decision-making and business planning.
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, performance evaluation, and optimization.
• Develop efficient and maintainable Python-based data science solutions using Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and related tools.
• Extract, transform, analyze, and manage data using PostgreSQL and other relevant data sources.
• Implement MLOps practices covering model deployment, monitoring, versioning, reproducibility, and ongoing model performance management.
• Build and optimize machine learning models using algorithms such as Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, and CatBoost.
• Deploy and manage machine learning solutions across cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Monitor model performance and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into practical AI and machine learning solutions.
• Communicate analytical findings, model outcomes, and technical recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, predictive analytics, or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models for business applications.
• Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies, including ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet.
• Strong knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, model evaluation, and data-driven problem solving.
• Advanced Python skills with practical experience using Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL for data extraction, transformation, querying, and analysis.
• Practical understanding of MLOps principles and experience supporting machine learning models through deployment and monitoring.
• Experience working with machine learning algorithms including Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, and CatBoost.
• Hands-on experience deploying or managing machine learning solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to investigating complex data challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical concepts and model outcomes clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver results in a remote working environment.
• Immediate availability or a short joining timeline is preferred.
