This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Back-End Pleno based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity for a mid-level Back-End Developer to contribute to the stability, evolution, and continuous improvement of financial technology systems.

You will work within a support and maintenance environment, addressing bugs, technical challenges, and improvements across multiple platforms.

The role combines hands-on development with a strong focus on code quality, reliability, and best engineering practices.

You will build and maintain microservices and integrations while working with modern cloud and container technologies.

Collaboration, prioritization, and the ability to remove technical impediments will be essential to keeping delivery efficient.

The position offers exposure to distributed, high-availability systems and an environment where agile practices and continuous improvement are valued.

It is particularly suited to a developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems while contributing directly to business-critical systems.

Accountabilities

• Provide technical support within a sustaining team, working across different platforms and systems to maintain reliable operations.
• Develop and maintain software following established engineering best practices, with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Plan development estimates, tasks, and bug fixes for smaller items that fall outside larger project initiatives.
• Investigate, manage, and resolve bugs and implement continuous improvements across existing systems.
• Identify and remove technical impediments, ensuring issues are addressed quickly, correctly, and with minimal operational impact.
• Prioritize and execute development activities according to team priorities and delivery requirements.
• Build and maintain microservices and back-end solutions using Java-based frameworks, Node.js, and Python.
• Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations and contribute to cloud-based and containerized environments.
• Create and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams in an agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and effective delivery.

Requirements

• Experience as a Back-End Developer in a mid-level capacity, with solid experience developing and maintaining production software.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, RxJS, and state management, as well as practical experience with RESTful API integrations.
• Experience with Git and version-control best practices.
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code, including the development of unit tests.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, particularly using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, or Micronaut, as well as Node.js and Python.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including Cognito, S3, EKS, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container-based software environments.
• Familiarity with Jira Software and Confluence and a good understanding of Lean Startup principles.
• Ability to work with multiple development paradigms and methodologies in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and remove development impediments.
• Nice to have: previous experience in financial services or banking projects.
• Nice to have: experience with high-performance software, highly available distributed systems, and API-First methodologies.
