This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Backend Java - Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a senior backend engineering opportunity focused on building and evolving digital products with meaningful business impact.

You will design and develop scalable Java services while contributing to architecture, quality, reliability, and technical direction.

The role sits at the intersection of technology, business, and user experience, requiring close collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will work across the full service lifecycle, from conception and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, evolve, and maintain backend services and digital products using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Contribute to the technical and business evolution of solutions, considering architecture, user experience, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in the complete lifecycle of backend services, from conception and architecture through development, testing, release, monitoring, and support.
• Develop scalable solutions based on microservices architecture and ensure new and legacy applications meet established quality standards.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure robustness, reliability, and appropriate coverage of critical scenarios.
• Apply software engineering principles such as SOLID to produce clean, maintainable, and resilient code.
• Work with cloud-native technologies and AWS services to build and operate reliable backend solutions.
• Use Git/Gitflow, Docker, Jenkins, and modern development practices to support efficient and consistent delivery.
• Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies and engineering practices to continuously improve development efficiency and solution quality.
• Work with interoperability between different technology platforms and contribute to solving complex technical challenges.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities when addressing technical and product-related issues.

Requirements:

• Proven senior-level experience in backend software development with Java.
• Strong knowledge of Spring and experience designing and developing applications based on microservices architecture.
• Solid experience with unit and integration testing, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and quality.
• Practical knowledge of Git and Gitflow, Docker, and Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of AWS, particularly API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate, ECS, RDS, SQS, SNS, Secrets Manager, and ElastiCache/Redis.
• Good understanding and application of SOLID principles and sound software engineering practices.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience integrating or enabling interoperability between different technology platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and the ability to evaluate new technologies according to practical business and engineering needs.
• Nice to have: experience with mobile application development, Event Sourcing, Play Framework, Terraform, web development, or React.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Node.js, Python, Golang, or Groovy.
