This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) Backend Sênior - Atuação Tech Lead based in Brazil.

This is a senior backend engineering opportunity with strong technical leadership responsibilities in a fully remote environment.

You will help evolve a core digital product, building scalable, high-performance services with Ruby on Rails or Go.

The role combines hands-on software development with architecture, technical decision-making, mentoring, and team enablement.

You will also have the opportunity to work with artificial intelligence and integrate emerging technologies into production solutions.

Collaboration with engineering leaders and multidisciplinary teams will be essential to delivering reliable, high-quality software.

Your technical guidance will directly influence product evolution, engineering practices, and the growth of other developers.

Accountabilities

• Develop and evolve the core product using Ruby on Rails or Go, delivering scalable features that create meaningful value for users.
• Maintain a strong hands-on contribution, writing high-quality, clean, maintainable code and applying sound engineering practices.
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions, including integrations with AI models and data-driven capabilities that improve products and processes.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions, technical standards, engineering processes, and the continuous evolution of the technology stack.
• Act as a technical reference and mentor for developers, supporting their growth and fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Conduct technical discussions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business and product needs into robust technical solutions.
• Serve as a bridge between engineers and Engineering Managers, helping align technical direction, priorities, execution, and delivery expectations.
• Promote automated testing, clean code, design patterns, observability, reliability, and scalable development practices.
• Help identify technical risks and opportunities while supporting pragmatic, high-quality solutions that can evolve with the product.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience, preferably with Ruby on Rails or Go.
• Previous experience acting as a technical reference, Tech Lead, or equivalent engineering leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or MySQL, including efficient database modeling.
• Experience with modern infrastructure and cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes and AWS.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
• Experience with messaging and background-processing technologies such as Sidekiq, SQS, or Kafka.
• Proficiency in automated testing using RSpec or comparable frameworks, as well as strong knowledge of SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
• Experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs, with solid knowledge of Git and Linux.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies, including LLM integrations, AI frameworks, or development of AI- and data-driven product capabilities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication and effective collaboration in a remote environment.
• Experience processing PDF documents, working with client-side frameworks such as Vue.js, or implementing AI solutions at production scale is a plus.
