This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) SR | Banking PJ based in Brazil.

This is a senior backend engineering opportunity focused on building reliable and scalable financial solutions for the business banking segment.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications that support critical digital financial experiences.

The role combines hands-on software engineering with a strong focus on architecture, security, performance, and scalability.

You will work with modern backend technologies, cloud services, APIs, event-driven architectures, and observability platforms.

The environment involves high-scale systems where engineering quality and operational reliability are essential.

You will collaborate closely with peer engineering teams to translate functional and technical requirements into robust solutions.

Accountabilities:

• Analyze technical and functional requirements, identifying risks, complexity, dependencies, and potential feasibility concerns before implementation.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document software solutions following established engineering standards and architectural guidelines.
• Build and maintain scalable backend applications and services using modern object-oriented development practices.
• Develop and maintain integrations between systems and RESTful APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects while proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure applications meet required standards for quality, security, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and support automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Monitor application performance and availability using established observability tools, including logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD practices, supporting efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering peers and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and production standards.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with solid experience in object-oriented backend development.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot for Java or Ktor/Spring for Kotlin.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Practical experience with Git-based version control using platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of observability practices covering logs, metrics, and tracing, using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
• Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Background working with high-scale systems, preferably within payments, banking, fintech, or other financial technology environments.
• Understanding of application security and secure software architecture best practices.
• Technical English proficiency for reading documentation and participating in technical forums, training, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and improving existing solutions.
