This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro de Software Pl. (Front-end) based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity for a mid-level Front-end Engineer to build high-quality, scalable, and performant digital experiences.

You will develop modern interfaces using React and Next.js while working across both legacy and contemporary applications.

The role combines hands-on development with a strong focus on maintainability, testing, security, and user experience.

You will integrate applications with REST APIs and Headless CMS solutions while following established architectural standards.

Performance optimization and metrics such as Core Web Vitals will be an important part of your work.

You will collaborate through code reviews, Agile practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your contributions will help evolve robust digital products in a technology-driven and collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

• Implement Front-end features with a strong focus on quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop modern user interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Integrate applications with REST APIs and Headless CMS platforms, particularly Strapi.
• Work effectively across both legacy and modern codebases while following defined architectural patterns and standards.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to improve the quality of deliveries.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements across code, architecture, and development processes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, considering user experience metrics and modern web development practices.
• Maintain relevant technical documentation and contribute to keeping development standards up to date.
• Stay current with evolving technologies and contribute to the technical evolution of the team’s solutions.

Requirements

• Completed or ongoing higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
• Knowledge of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG).
• Experience with component-based development and the consumption of Design Systems.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices.
• Experience integrating applications with REST APIs.
• Ability to work effectively with both legacy and modern codebases.
• Experience writing unit tests with Jest, Testing Library, or similar tools, plus familiarity with integration testing.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals.
• Understanding of key Front-end security practices, including protection against XSS and CSRF.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS platforms, preferably Strapi.
• Additional experience with Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), Node.js for SSR or BFF scenarios, E2E testing with Playwright or similar tools, and Design System development is a plus.
• Knowledge of internationalization (i18n), fintech or regulated environments, Edge Computing, CDN technologies, and observability tools such as New Relic or Datadog is desirable.
