Enterprise Technology Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Technology Engineer based in India.

This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity for an Enterprise Technology Engineer focused on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and modern cloud technologies.

You will support the operation, administration, integration, and continuous improvement of enterprise-scale SAP platforms.

The role offers hands-on exposure to SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Cloud Connector, identity services, and cloud operations.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders across distributed environments.

You will contribute to platform reliability, automation, monitoring, governance, and secure deployment practices.

The position also provides opportunities to develop expertise in SAP Business AI capabilities, including emerging technologies such as SAP Joule.

With guidance from experienced technical leaders, you will contribute to transformation initiatives while building strong cloud engineering and SAP expertise.

Accountabilities:

• Support the administration and day-to-day operation of SAP BTP services, including tenant configuration, service enablement, Cloud Foundry environments, Neo environments, and SAP SaaS services.
• Assist development teams with application onboarding, deployments, connectivity, platform requests, and troubleshooting.
• Support integrations using SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and event-mesh capabilities, connecting SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Configure and maintain secure connectivity through SAP Cloud Connector and destination services, including concepts such as principal propagation.
• Assist with identity and access management activities, including user administration, role management, SSO, SAML, OAuth, JWT, and technical-user authentication.
• Monitor platform health and performance using tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, investigate incidents, manage alerts, and contribute to root-cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Support automation and DevOps initiatives using technologies such as Node.js, JavaScript, Shell scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide operational support for SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP API Management, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud integrations, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Joule.
• Maintain technical documentation, support guides, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and reusable support materials while following security, architecture, governance, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, security teams, infrastructure specialists, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support platform upgrades and new capabilities.
• Contribute to project delivery activities, including implementation, testing, deployment, and transition-to-support for SAP BTP and related technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, increase automation, and strengthen platform reliability and resiliency.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and develop technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in SAP technology, platform support, system administration, cloud engineering, or a related enterprise technology role.
• Practical exposure to SAP cloud technologies and enterprise application platforms, with experience supporting business-critical applications or services.
• Working knowledge of one or more SAP technologies such as SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP API Management, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Identity Services, SAP S/4HANA integrations, or SAP Datasphere.
• Understanding of cloud platform operations, networking, high availability, disaster recovery, and enterprise integration concepts.
• Familiarity with authentication and identity technologies including SSO, SAML, OAuth, and JWT.
• Exposure to automation or scripting using Node.js, JavaScript, Shell scripting, or comparable technologies, along with familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Awareness of SAP Business AI capabilities and emerging AI technologies within the SAP ecosystem, including SAP Joule and generative AI concepts.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or comparable cloud monitoring and operational tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, cloud platforms, and evolving SAP capabilities.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background is expected.
• SAP BTP certification, or willingness to pursue certification, is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders and contribute effectively to enterprise-scale transformation programs.
