Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a FP&A Director based in United States.

The FP&A Director will serve as a strategic financial leader responsible for both long-term financial planning and the operational integrity of the organization’s finances.

The role combines FP&A leadership with accounting oversight, financial controls, compliance, and strategic fiscal initiatives.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while developing sophisticated models to guide growth, investments, and pricing decisions.

The position requires a strong understanding of recurring revenue, utilization, cost of revenue, and profitability across technology-enabled professional services.

You will partner closely with Technology/R&D, Sales, Operations, and other leaders to optimize resources and improve financial performance.

This is an opportunity to influence financial strategy in a growing, entrepreneurial environment serving the eDiscovery and LegalTech ecosystem

Accountabilities:

    • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, ensuring financial plans remain aligned with organizational growth objectives, service delivery requirements, and strategic priorities.
    • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, including driver-based forecasts, scenario analyses, project profitability models, capital investment evaluations, and pricing analyses to support informed executive decision-making.
    • Analyze key business and financial metrics relevant to eDiscovery and professional services, including MRR/ARR, utilization rates, cost of revenue for data hosting and processing, and gross margin across service lines such as managed review and forensic collections.
    • Act as a strategic financial partner to department leaders, particularly across Technology/R&D, Sales, and Operations, providing insights that improve resource allocation, operational efficiency, profitability, and business performance.
    • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of revenue recognition and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, GAAP, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
    • Partner with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other accounting functions to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial statements and reporting.
    • Oversee capital asset projects and expenditures, monitoring investment decisions against approved budgets, organizational priorities, and expected business outcomes.
    • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and financial policies, ensuring accounting procedures are consistently followed through appropriate supervision, observation, testing, and continuous improvement.
    • Prepare fiscal estimates, management reports, board-level presentations, governmental filings, and other financial analyses required to support leadership, governance, and strategic planning.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; advanced education is a plus, and a CPA designation is highly preferred.
      • At least 8 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing FP&A functions or teams, with experience in eDiscovery, LegalTech, SaaS, professional services, or a comparable environment strongly preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience combining strategic FP&A leadership with financial control and accounting oversight, including responsibility for planning, reporting, financial integrity, and operational finance.
      • Strong understanding of financial practices and procedures, including GAAP and/or IFRS, as well as applicable state and federal financial rules and regulations.
      • Experience working with ERP or other accounting software and proficiency with standard financial, accounting, and office technology.
      • Strong managerial capabilities, including the ability to evaluate performance, develop team members, establish accountability, and lead finance professionals effectively.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for internal stakeholders, executives, and other audiences.
      • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and financial discipline.
      • Ability to work effectively in a computer-based environment, including prolonged periods of desk and computer work.
      • Benefits:

        • 100% remote work, enabling employees to work fully from home anywhere in the United States.
        • Health, dental, and vision insurance to support comprehensive employee wellbeing.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
        • Paid family leave to support important family and caregiving needs.
        • Flexible Time Off (FTO) providing flexibility to manage personal time and recharge.
