Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Geospatial Trainer/Outreach based in United States.

This is a senior geospatial training and outreach role supporting mission-critical government programs and a diverse stakeholder community.

You will lead the planning, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training, engagement, and communications initiatives.

The role combines geospatial expertise with instructional design, stakeholder management, digital communications, and event coordination.

You will translate complex GIS concepts into accessible training, demonstrations, briefings, and digital content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The position also plays a key role in strengthening stakeholder engagement, supporting government-hosted events, and improving access to geospatial information.

Working remotely, you will collaborate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and outreach professionals while maintaining high standards for accessibility and compliance.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced geospatial professional who enjoys combining technical knowledge, communication, leadership, and public-sector mission support.

Accountabilities:

    • Design, develop, and deliver geospatial training programs, technical briefings, product demonstrations, and other learning experiences tailored to the needs and knowledge levels of diverse stakeholder groups.
    • Develop and coordinate stakeholder communications strategies, including messaging, presentations, videos, websites, and other materials that clearly communicate geospatial capabilities, information, and program objectives.
    • Ensure training, outreach, and digital materials meet Section 508 accessibility requirements as well as applicable government web and graphic publishing standards.
    • Provide ongoing stakeholder and customer outreach by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting issues, facilitating access to geospatial information, and helping users navigate available resources.
    • Track stakeholder requests and needs through automated management systems, ensuring inquiries and communications are handled accurately, consistently, and within appropriate timelines.
    • Support government-hosted events and engagement activities, including geospatial working groups, user forums, technical briefings, webinars, demonstrations, and other training sessions.
    • Create, publish, update, and manage content across program-related websites and digital platforms, ensuring information remains accurate, accessible, current, and aligned with publishing standards.
    • Monitor stakeholder engagement and identify opportunities to strengthen communication strategies, improve collaboration, and increase user satisfaction with geospatial programs and services.
    • Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership to junior outreach and training personnel, delegating assignments, mentoring team members, and reviewing deliverables for quality and completeness.
    • Ensure outreach, training, communications, and digital publishing deliverables satisfy programmatic, technical, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience in geospatial training, outreach, communications, or stakeholder engagement.
      • 7+ years of relevant experience in GIS outreach, geospatial training, communications, stakeholder engagement, or a closely related field, with demonstrated responsibility for delivering programs to diverse audiences.
      • Proven ability to develop and deliver geospatial presentations, technical briefings, demonstrations, and training materials that make complex information understandable and actionable.
      • Strong ability to troubleshoot and explain complex technical GIS issues to non-technical stakeholders, adapting communication style and content to different audiences.
      • Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance and digital accessibility standards, with the ability to apply accessibility principles to training, web, graphic, and other digital content.
      • Experience supporting federal or large-scale government projects with comparable scope, complexity, stakeholder requirements, and operational expectations.
      • Proficiency with graphic design, video editing, e-learning, or related content-development tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Storyline, or comparable platforms.
      • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage deadlines, prioritize stakeholder needs, and maintain high-quality deliverables.
      • A Master’s degree in GIS, Communications, or a related technical or instructional field is preferred.
      • Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security or homeland security-related programs is preferred, as is familiarity with geospatial infrastructure and datasets used across the federal government.
      • Experience managing participatory events, technical demonstrations, webinars, or other stakeholder engagements in a federal environment is preferred.
      • Experience with web content management systems and HTML/CSS editing for digital publishing is valued.
      • Knowledge of federal records management, accessibility requirements, and Section 508 evaluation tools such as PAC or WAVE is a plus.
      • Candidates must be willing to undergo a government-issued background investigation as required by the nature of the supported work.
      • Benefits:

        • Remote work within the United States.
        • Highly competitive benefits designed to support employee well-being, flexibility, and long-term career development.
        • Professional development opportunities supporting continued growth of technical, leadership, and industry expertise.
        • A collaborative, innovative environment focused on solving complex customer and mission challenges.
        • Opportunities to support high-impact government geospatial programs and work with diverse technical and stakeholder communities.
        • Meaningful exposure to geospatial training, federal outreach, accessibility, digital publishing, and mission-focused technology initiatives.
        • Supportive culture emphasizing flexibility, collaboration, professional growth, and a shared service mindset.
        • Veterans and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
