Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions based in Canada.

As a Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions, you will support complex employee lifecycle matters across multiple international jurisdictions, with a strong focus on compliant and thoughtful employee exits. You will advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and workplace concerns while balancing legal requirements with a high-quality customer experience. The role combines employee relations expertise, conflict management, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with legal, payroll, benefits, customer success, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure cases are handled accurately and efficiently. You will also help improve processes, introduce automation opportunities, and strengthen the overall employee and customer experience. This is a fully remote, asynchronous opportunity within a global team where autonomy, innovation, and accountability are highly valued

Accountabilities:

    • Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, including AMER, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring compliant processes and a professional, supportive experience for clients and employees.
    • Advise clients on a broad range of employee lifecycle matters, including terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, redundancies, and applicable employment requirements and best practices.
    • Lead and facilitate sensitive conversations and meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination discussions, while balancing competing stakeholder interests.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, benefits, time and attendance, and customer success teams to ensure employee transitions are handled accurately and on time.
    • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and related documentation while maintaining accurate employee records and adhering strictly to privacy, confidentiality, and data integrity requirements.
    • Provide first-level Employee Relations support by conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying relevant facts and regulations, guiding clients on progressive disciplinary approaches, and coordinating appropriate resources.
    • Act as a subject-matter resource for employee relations and offboarding matters while identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate activities, support product development, and enhance the customer and employee experience.
    • Requirements:

      • Experience as an HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar HR professional with broad generalist knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
      • Proven experience managing voluntary and involuntary employee exits with care, sensitivity, and strong attention to legal compliance, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
      • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret applicable industrial instruments, research complex HR issues, and provide practical recommendations in ambiguous situations.
      • Basic knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline practices, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
      • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to lead difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.
      • Advanced, business-level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are considered a plus.
      • Strong operational discipline, organization, and attention to detail, combined with a proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous, international environment.
      • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across evolving digital tools and systems, with an appetite for automation, process optimization, continuous improvement, and adopting best practices.
      • Benefits:

        • Annual salary range of CAD 10,300-115,900, with compensation determined according to role, level, location, experience, skills, training, business needs, and market conditions.
        • Fully remote, work-from-anywhere environment.
        • Flexible paid time off and flexible working hours within an asynchronous work culture.
        • 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
        • Budget for co-working spaces, learning, and wellness activities, including gym memberships.
        • Mental health support services.
        • Stock options.
        • Home office budget and IT equipment.
        • Global, international working environment with colleagues across multiple continents.
        • Strong emphasis on autonomy, ownership, work-life balance, continuous learning, and professional growth.
        • Inclusive culture supporting diverse backgrounds, identities, experiences, and employee communities.
