We are looking for a Backend Developer who will contribute to the creation and evolution of scalable digital solutions.
In this role, you will work on Java-based applications, APIs, integrations, and microservices within a collaborative technology environment.
You will participate in the full development lifecycle, from implementing new features to supporting systems in production.

Accountabilities:
The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving backend solutions while collaborating with technical teams to deliver high-quality software. The professional will contribute to application evolution, system reliability, and engineering best practices through the following responsibilities:
- Develop new features and enhancements for Java-based applications.
- Fix bugs and provide production support for existing systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and integrations between internal platforms and external partners.
- Contribute to the evolution of microservices-based architectures.
- Use AI development assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools to accelerate coding, reviews, and testing while critically evaluating generated solutions.
- Validate, test, and review code before delivery, ensuring quality and maintainability.
- Write and maintain automated tests.
- Support incident investigations, log analysis, and troubleshooting activities in production environments.
- Collaborate with analysts, Product Owners, technical leaders, and other developers throughout the software lifecycle.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute ideas to improve team processes and product evolution.
- Share AI development practices, workflows, prompts, and learnings to increase team productivity.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a motivated software developer with hands-on experience in backend development and a strong interest in learning modern technologies and engineering practices.
- At least 1 year of experience developing Java projects.
- Experience participating in projects using MVC architecture patterns and API integrations.
- Experience developing Java applications using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of Java Collections.
- Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Basic understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
- Understanding of microservices architecture concepts.
- Knowledge of unit testing practices.
- Familiarity with application containerization concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment with strong communication skills.
- Interest in applying AI tools to software development, including context engineering, secure AI usage practices, and automated development workflows.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Knowledge of Python and/or GoLang.
- Experience contributing to production environments.
- Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
- Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous architectures.
- Familiarity with observability tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and practices.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows.
