This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Desenvolvedora Backend Python Especialista I (Venda Direta) based in Brazil.

This is a senior software engineering opportunity focused on building a strategic platform for Generative AI and intelligent agents. You will contribute to a centralized agent platform designed to enable functional teams to create, manage, and deploy LLM-powered solutions with greater autonomy. The role combines backend and frontend engineering, with a strong emphasis on Python, React, automated testing, cloud technologies, and modern software practices. You will work closely with product, design, technical leadership, and other engineering teams to transform complex requirements into scalable and reliable products. Your work will directly support the evolution of AI-powered experiences across a large digital ecosystem. Accountabilities:

• Partner with technical leadership to translate product and technical vision into high-quality software, writing clean and optimized code while actively participating in technical reviews and helping keep technical debt low.
• Develop and evolve the Agent Platform interface in close collaboration with product and design teams, contributing across both frontend and backend layers to deliver effective experiences for platform users.
• Build, test, deploy, and monitor software while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, accessibility, observability, analytics, and engineering best practices.
• Design and implement robust frontend and backend solutions with a focus on simplicity, maintainability, scalability, performance, and an intuitive user experience.
• Develop automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, ensuring that new and existing functionality remains reliable throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing applications and systems, make technical recommendations, and design and implement solutions that address complex engineering and product challenges.
• Participate actively in technical and product decisions, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability for the outcomes of the solutions being developed.
• Review and improve existing code through practices such as Code Review and Pair Programming, while contributing to a culture of technical knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation and communicate effectively with engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand business objectives, communicate technical concepts clearly, evaluate trade-offs, and develop innovative and practical solutions to challenging problems.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience developing web applications with React, combined with strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to work effectively across frontend and backend contexts.
• Strong experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, with a commitment to building reliable and maintainable production software.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Sonar, as well as modern development workflows involving source control, automated quality checks, and continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of AWS and familiarity with cloud-based application development, deployment, and operational practices.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices, including security assessments, vulnerability management, and participation in the resolution of security incidents.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, with the autonomy and collaboration skills needed to operate in a multifunctional and multi-language engineering environment.
• A pragmatic and analytical approach to problem solving, with a proactive and questioning mindset and the ability to perform deep, systemic analysis of complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences, understand business objectives, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams that depend on the platform.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate frontend trade-offs involving performance, UI consistency, component architecture, and technical debt, while working closely with product and design.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools, as part of the software development workflow.
• Differential experience: Exposure to LLM APIs, Generative AI engines, agent platforms, or the development and deployment of production-grade solutions using Large Language Models.
• Differential experience: Backend development with Python, preferably using Django or an equivalent framework, with sufficient autonomy to evolve a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) alongside the frontend.
