This is a hands-on development role focused on modernizing mission-critical government systems through Microsoft Power Platform.
You’ll design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure applications that improve business processes and support important public-sector missions.
The role spans Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure, and enterprise integrations.
You’ll work within Agile and DevSecOps teams, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle from requirements through production support.
Your work will help transform legacy applications and manual processes into scalable, user-centered digital solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders while maintaining high standards for security, privacy, and accessibility.

Accountabilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions supporting mission-critical programs.
- Build Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages applications tailored to user and business requirements.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Dataverse tables, forms, views, business rules, and data structures.
- Develop Power Automate workflows, approval processes, and other automations that modernize and streamline business operations.
- Support the migration of legacy applications and processes, including solutions built with .NET, C#, and JavaScript, into modern Power Platform environments.
- Participate in requirements analysis, backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design, and other Agile development activities.
- Conduct and support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop technical documentation, deployment guides, knowledge-transfer materials, and other project documentation.
- Support production deployments, operational maintenance, release management, and ongoing application improvements.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise technologies, including Azure services, SharePoint Online, SQL Server, APIs, and Microsoft 365.
- Help ensure solutions meet applicable federal security, privacy, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and deliver secure, scalable, user-centered applications.
- Contribute to an automate-first, DevSecOps-oriented development culture through continuous improvement and effective engineering practices.
- Minimum of 8 years of total IT experience, including at least 5 years developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- Expert-level knowledge of Power Platform and Dynamics technologies, with substantial hands-on development experience.
- Strong experience with Power Apps, including both Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, as well as Power Automate and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Azure services.
- Demonstrated experience migrating legacy .NET, C#, and JavaScript applications or business processes to modern Power Platform solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and using ticket management platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience with Azure B2C or Login.gov integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the independence to work with limited guidance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of secure software development, federal security requirements, privacy standards, and Section 508 accessibility is highly valuable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal government background investigation requirements.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
- Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Azure, and/or Dynamics 365 are preferred.
- Experience supporting HHS, CDC, or other U.S. federal agencies is a plus.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and integrations involving SQL Server, APIs, and Microsoft 365 services is preferred.

- Salary: $115,000-$145,000 USD, with final compensation determined based on experience, education, skills, responsibilities, and market conditions.
