Principal Global Success Automation & Solutions Engineer

This role focuses on helping customers successfully deploy, optimize, and scale advanced network visibility and security solutions.

You will combine deep networking expertise with automation, solution design, and security-focused problem-solving to improve post-sales outcomes.

The position offers broad exposure to complex hybrid environments spanning enterprise, cloud, service provider, and mobile network customers.

You will lead technical initiatives, develop automation tools, and streamline processes that accelerate customer adoption and time to value.

Working as an individual contributor, you will collaborate closely with system architects, technical teams, and stakeholders across global locations.

The role provides an opportunity to influence technical strategy while working with emerging technologies across networking, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, and AI.

Success in this position requires strong technical judgment, communication skills, and a passion for solving complex customer challenges.

Accountabilities:

• Drive the adoption of AI within global customer success initiatives by developing tools and solutions that improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Lead solution design, deployment, optimization, and post-sales implementation efforts for network visibility and security solutions.
• Evaluate deployment alternatives and recommend optimized technical solutions tailored to customers across enterprise, service provider, and mobile network environments.
• Ensure technical solutions align with applicable security standards and organizational policies, including ISO 27001, CIS, and NIST frameworks.
• Collaborate with system architects and technical teams to implement security policies and meet customer security and compliance requirements.
• Automate and streamline post-sales processes to improve the customer experience and accelerate time to value.
• Conduct technical testing, documentation, and pilot deliveries to ensure high-quality and reliable deployment outcomes.
• Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with geographically distributed virtual teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex networking, security, scalability, and deployment challenges.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve solutions, processes, and customer success.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing network tools and applications, particularly in environments requiring security and scalability.
• Strong expertise in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and OpenStack.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C, along with experience working with APIs.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate effectively with virtual teams across multiple geographies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001/27002, CIS, and NIST is highly desirable.
• Experience with SDKs and additional programming languages is considered a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Detail-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning and emerging technologies.
