QA Analyst (Mid-Level)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Analyst (Mid-Level) based in Brazil.

As a QA Analyst, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliability, usability, and quality of software products. You will plan and execute functional and end-to-end testing based on business and technical requirements. The role involves creating detailed test scenarios, documenting evidence, identifying defects, and validating fixes throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with Development, Product, and Business teams to identify risks and help deliver consistent, high-quality releases. Your understanding of business flows will enable you to anticipate potential issues and suggest improvements before they reach users. Accountabilities:

• Perform functional testing of applications and software systems, validating whether solutions meet defined requirements.
• Create end-to-end test scenarios based on functional and business requirements.
• Develop, document, and maintain detailed test cases, including clear execution steps and expected results.
• Execute manual tests following releases provided by the development team.
• Validate both functional and non-functional requirements throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs and inconsistencies discovered during testing.
• Conduct regression and retesting activities to confirm that reported issues have been properly resolved.
• Document test evidence, execution results, and relevant findings in an organized and traceable manner.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Business teams to support the quality of software deliveries.
• Understand business processes and rules to anticipate risks, identify gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure testing activities are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and testing practices.

Requirements:

• Practical knowledge of software functional testing and quality assurance principles.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and structured testing scenarios.
• Ability to document test scenarios, evidence, results, and findings clearly and accurately.
• Knowledge of defect reporting, tracking, and follow-up throughout the resolution lifecycle.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective testing scenarios.
• Proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify potential quality risks.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of unit testing concepts.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Previous professional experience in Quality Assurance or functional testing.
• Familiarity with test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Knowledge of API testing.
