This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Analyst - UI & Data Validation based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to support the quality and reliability of reporting and analytics products that underpin important business operations. You will validate dashboard functionality, reporting logic, and data accuracy across source systems, data warehouses, and reporting platforms. Working closely with Report Developers, Data Engineers, and Product Teams, you will identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and help ensure issues are resolved before release. The position combines UI testing, backend data validation, SQL analysis, and structured quality assurance practices. You will work across multiple reporting products in an Agile environment while maintaining strong test coverage and release timelines. This is well suited to a junior-to-mid-level QA professional who enjoys working at the intersection of data, analytics, and software quality.
Accountabilities:
- Perform end-to-end testing of reporting and analytics solutions, dashboards, and data-driven applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and usability.
- Validate data accuracy and reconciliation between source systems, data warehouses, and reporting platforms, identifying inconsistencies before they affect business users.
- Execute UI testing across dashboards and reports, verifying filters, calculations, visualizations, navigation, and other user-facing functionality.
- Investigate data discrepancies and reporting issues, determine root causes, and collaborate with Data Engineers and Developers to drive timely resolution.
- Create, document, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts that provide comprehensive coverage.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing as required throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Report Developers and Product Teams throughout development and release cycles, participating in sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Track defects, enhancements, testing activities, and resolutions using Jira or similar work management tools.
- Support multiple reporting products while maintaining quality standards, thorough documentation, and agreed release timelines.
- Become a primary QA resource for an assigned reporting product while providing quality assurance support across additional analytics products.
- Bring 2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused applications.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with both reporting UI testing and backend data validation.
- Possess strong SQL skills for querying, validating, reconciling, and investigating data across different systems.
- Have experience creating detailed test cases, test scenarios, test plans, test scripts, and other testing documentation.
- Understand data warehouse concepts and data flow validation, with the ability to identify data integrity and quality issues.
- Have experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and participating effectively in standard Agile ceremonies.
- Be comfortable using Jira or comparable work management and defect-tracking platforms.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills, particularly when working with complex reporting and data discrepancies.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and product stakeholders.
- Experience testing Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions is preferred.
- Experience working with Power BI reporting environments is a plus.
- Exposure to healthcare data, payer systems, EPIC, EZ-CAP, or related healthcare platforms is advantageous.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and reporting architectures is beneficial.
- Full-time contract position requiring 40 hours per week, with an initial contract duration of 6-12 months or longer.
- 100% remote work, with candidates able to work from anywhere in India.
- Standard schedule of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, aligned with PST working hours.
