Accountabilities
- Research and compile risk exposure information to support insurance policy renewals and broader risk management activities.
- Review, audit, and track incoming and outgoing Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to help ensure compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.
- Maintain and update insurance policy databases, including coverage details, policy records, renewal dates, and related information.
- Collect, organize, and validate insurance and risk management data from internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation, organization, retention, and management of insurance documentation and records.
- Contribute to special projects and additional initiatives that support the effectiveness of the Risk Management & Insurance function.
- Identify potential data gaps, process challenges, or inconsistencies and proactively recommend practical solutions.
- Develop project timelines, provide progress updates, and present project outcomes as part of the broader internship experience.
- Collaborate with peers, mentors, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders while managing assigned responsibilities independently.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Demonstrated interest in risk management, insurance, compliance, finance, or related business functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, research, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Self-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness to learn, receive feedback, take initiative, and apply academic knowledge to real-world business challenges.
- Remote internship opportunity in the United States.
- Summer internship rotation running approximately May 17 through August 6, with assignments generally lasting 10-12 weeks.
