Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst based in India.

This is a strategic and analytical role supporting go-to-market performance across Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance. You will turn complex business data into actionable insights that help leadership make smarter decisions around forecasting, planning, productivity, and growth. The role combines advanced analytics, business modeling, reporting, and AI-powered tools to improve the efficiency of revenue operations. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives such as territory planning, quota modeling, headcount scenarios, QBRs, and annual planning. Working with stakeholders across India and the US, you will bring structure to ambiguous problems and communicate findings clearly to both technical and executive audiences. Accountabilities:

• Conduct recurring and ad-hoc strategic analyses covering pipeline trends, segment performance, sales productivity, and other key commercial metrics.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Sales, Finance, and business leadership.
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive reporting and data-cleaning tasks, and improve the quality of deliverables.
• Support data sourcing, modeling, manipulation, and analysis for executive reporting, QBRs, annual planning, and strategic projects.
• Contribute to territory mapping, quota modeling, headcount planning, and other commercial planning exercises using a structured, consulting-style approach.
• Build and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting solutions using Tableau, Excel, and related analytical tools.
• Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to improve data quality, reporting infrastructure, analytical consistency, and operational processes.
• Work closely with Finance and other cross-functional stakeholders to align analytical outputs with business priorities and planning requirements.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and improved analytical processes to make strategy and operations work more efficient.
• Present findings in a concise and compelling manner, turning data-driven analysis into recommendations that support business decisions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or another highly rigorous analytical environment, with prior consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, improve productivity, and enhance the quality of strategic outputs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience building models, structuring analyses, interpreting large datasets, and developing executive-ready recommendations.
• Strong SQL skills are required, including the ability to write complex queries and conduct ad-hoc analyses using raw or business data.
• Experience working with Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable business intelligence and analytical platforms.
• Experience with GCP or similar cloud-based data platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and loosely defined business problems, bringing structure and clarity without requiring perfectly defined specifications.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to understand business objectives and connect analytical findings to tangible outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong data storytelling skills, including the ability to synthesize information and communicate the most important insights clearly to senior audiences.
• Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and a genuine interest in identifying practical ways technology can transform strategy and analytics work.
• Comfortable collaborating across geographically distributed teams and working with stakeholders in different time zones.
