SAP FI Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP FI Consultant based in Brazil.

This role is ideal for an experienced SAP Finance professional who can bridge business requirements with effective SAP solutions. You will work across core financial processes, configuration, enhancements, testing, and production support. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments while supporting critical finance operations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, assess impacts, and translate needs into scalable functional solutions. Your expertise will help ensure reliable financial processes, successful system changes, and smooth month-end and year-end activities. The role combines hands-on SAP configuration with stakeholder engagement, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

• Configure and support SAP FI and CO functionality across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
• Manage and support CO processes including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Gather business requirements from finance and other stakeholders and translate them into clear functional specifications.
• Analyze requested changes, assess business and system impacts, and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
• Perform SAP configuration changes, enhancements, and change requests in accordance with established processes.
• Support interfaces, IDOCs, batch jobs, SAP workflow processes, and related integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolution and ongoing application support.
• Plan and support testing activities, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Coordinate deployments and provide post-production support to ensure stable implementation of changes.
• Support finance teams during month-end and year-end closing activities and help maintain continuity of critical financial processes.
• Contribute to initiatives involving taxation, statutory reporting, financial controls, and broader finance process improvements.
• Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, understand their needs, and provide clear communication throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience configuring SAP FI and CO modules in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise across GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Practical experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Good knowledge of SAP interfaces, IDOCs, batch jobs, workflow concepts, and related technical dependencies.
• Demonstrated experience with production support, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and application maintenance.
• Experience managing change requests and enhancements, from requirement gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Good knowledge of taxation, statutory reporting requirements, and financial control principles.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and conducting impact analysis for proposed system changes.
• Hands-on experience supporting Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance teams, technical teams, and other business functions.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and manage multiple priorities.
