SAP NetWeaver Administrator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP NetWeaver Administrator based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to support the reliability, performance, and ongoing evolution of enterprise SAP environments.

You will work across SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver administration, with a focus on stable and efficient platform operations.

The position combines day-to-day system administration with cloud environment management, technical troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance.

You will collaborate closely with technical teams to coordinate changes, support implementations, and maintain operational readiness.

The role also involves platform tuning, root cause analysis, and proactive measures to prevent service interruptions.

You will contribute technical expertise to the wider team while helping maintain clear and effective support documentation.

An on-call rotation provides an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring business-critical SAP services remain available.

Accountabilities

• Administer, maintain, and support SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver environments to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
• Maintain SAP environments hosted in public cloud platforms, supporting availability, stability, and operational performance.
• Manage scheduling tools and ensure routine operational activities, jobs, and system tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Utilize SAP Solution Manager functionalities to support monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, and system management.
• Coordinate with technical and infrastructure teams on planned system changes, upgrades, maintenance activities, and upcoming implementations.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SAP technical infrastructure and software components.
• Tune SAP platforms and underlying environments to improve availability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for service interruptions and technical incidents, identifying and implementing preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system support procedures, and operational knowledge resources.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Support SAP rollouts, implementations, enhancements, and other platform engineering initiatives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to help maintain continuity and responsiveness for critical SAP environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience administering SAP HANA environments, including system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance considerations.
• Strong experience with SAP NetWeaver system administration and enterprise SAP platform operations.
• Experience maintaining and supporting SAP environments deployed in public cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with scheduling tools and the ability to manage daily operational activities effectively.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and its relevant administration, monitoring, and support functionalities.
• Strong understanding of SAP technical infrastructure, software components, system maintenance, and platform availability.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying operational risks.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with infrastructure, platform, application, and other technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple operational priorities.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to colleagues and communicate technical information clearly.
• Comfortable supporting implementations, rollouts, system changes, and other technology initiatives.
• Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation when required.
