Jobgether is an AI-powered job platform focused on remote and flexible work. It matches candidates with relevant roles using skills and preference-based algorithms, and also offers career coaching and job-search guidance.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, IT based in United States.

The Senior Director, IT will define and lead a global technology strategy supporting a fast-growing, AI-driven organization. This role oversees IT operations, employee technology, corporate infrastructure, service delivery, and technology enablement across multiple regions. You will guide the responsible adoption of AI across everyday workflows while strengthening security, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. As a senior technology leader, you will advise executives and business leaders on IT transformation, emerging technologies, organizational readiness, and risk. You will also build and develop a distributed team of IT managers and engineers while partnering closely with Security, Workplace, People, Finance, and Engineering. The role offers significant influence over how technology becomes a strategic advantage for employees and the broader organization.

Accountabilities:

    • Define and execute a multi-year global IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth, security priorities, hybrid and remote work, operational scalability, and emerging technology needs, translating organizational goals into measurable IT objectives, investment plans, and success metrics.
    • Serve as a strategic technology advisor to executive leadership and business units, providing guidance on IT transformation, innovation, digital strategy, competitive implications, organizational readiness, and the ways emerging technologies can reshape business capabilities and risk.
    • Develop and champion an enterprise AI adoption roadmap covering technology selection, procurement, licensing, pilots, measurable success criteria, change management, organizational rollout, and responsible adoption, while building confidence through practical early wins.
    • Lead global IT operations across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, overseeing regional managers and support teams while establishing a high-touch service culture and maintaining strong service levels, employee satisfaction, reliability, and operational responsiveness.
    • Own the IT service catalog and end-to-end service management practices, including incident, request, problem, and change management, while establishing and monitoring meaningful SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee end-user computing, help desk services, endpoint management, collaboration platforms, identity and access management, office technology, audiovisual support, remote employee technology, and the broader employee technology experience.
    • Own the architecture and operations of corporate IT infrastructure, including networks, Wi-Fi, VPN, device fleets, SaaS platforms, asset management, and productivity technologies, while driving standardization, automation, lifecycle management, and secure-by-default configurations.
    • Partner closely with Security and Engineering to strengthen zero-trust and identity-first approaches, enforce device and access controls, support security incidents and technology disruptions, and integrate AI-related security, governance, data handling, and vendor-risk requirements into IT practices.
    • Support audit, risk, and compliance programs through effective IT controls, documentation, evidence gathering, and operational discipline across relevant frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOX.
    • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing distributed IT organization spanning multiple regions and time zones, establishing clear responsibilities, career paths, performance expectations, coaching practices, and a culture of ownership, transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
    • Own IT budget planning and spend management, balancing service quality, scalability, operational efficiency, technology investments, and responsible AI infrastructure spending.
    • Lead the IT components of company-wide technology rollouts, device programs, office openings or expansions, security initiatives, and AI adoption waves, ensuring effective change management, communication, training, adoption, and employee enablement.
    • Requirements:

      • 12+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years leading global IT teams within a high-growth, technology-driven environment, with a demonstrated ability to operate strategically while maintaining strong operational execution.
      • Proven experience leading end-user computing, collaboration platforms, office IT, audiovisual services, and employee technology environments at scale across multiple geographic regions.
      • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS ecosystems, identity and access management, device management and MDM, networking infrastructure, endpoint security, corporate productivity platforms, and modern IT service delivery.
      • Experience operating in security-first environments and partnering effectively with CISO, GRC, Security, and Engineering teams on controls, risk management, audits, incident response, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOX.
      • Demonstrated success building and managing distributed organizations that include both managers and individual contributors across multiple regions, time zones, and operational functions.
      • Strong executive presence, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business implications, investment priorities, and actionable recommendations.
      • Track record of improving IT operational maturity through automation, standardization, process optimization, service management, lifecycle management, and measurable improvements in employee experience.
      • Hands-on familiarity with AI and machine learning tools, platforms, or infrastructure, including generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, or enterprise AI integration; practical experience driving AI adoption is strongly valued.
      • Experience developing governance, security, adoption, and change-management strategies for emerging technologies in fast-moving organizations, with a strong understanding of responsible technology implementation.
      • Proven ability to act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership and influence broader organizational strategy through technology, while balancing innovation with security, reliability, cost, and operational risk.
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with an advanced degree or relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or CISM considered a plus.
      • Benefits:

        • Base salary ranging from $248,400 to $310,500 USD for Region C, $262,400 to $328,000 USD for Region B, or $276,000 to $345,000 USD for Region A, depending on assigned U.S. work location.
        • Eligibility for performance-based bonus and equity awards, subject to the applicable compensation plans and individual eligibility.
        • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for U.S.-based employees, along with short-term and long-term disability coverage and basic life insurance.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching and additional well-being benefits and employee perks.
        • Flexible Time Off (FTO), up to 12 scheduled paid holidays per calendar year, and one additional Thrive Day off per quarter.
        • Opportunities to lead global technology transformation and shape responsible AI adoption across a rapidly evolving, technology-driven environment.
        • Significant executive-level exposure and the opportunity to influence IT strategy, organizational readiness, security, employee experience, and emerging technology priorities.
        • The opportunity to build and develop a distributed global IT organization while partnering closely with senior leaders across Security, Engineering, Workplace, People, and Finance.
        • A culture focused on humility, continuous growth, meaningful impact, collaboration, experimentation, and disciplined technology investment.
