Senior Fullstack Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer based in United States.

This is a ground-floor engineering opportunity within an AI-native fintech SaaS environment focused on modern financial planning and analysis.

You will work closely with technical leadership to design, build, and own high-impact product capabilities from end to end.

The role spans frontend and backend development, giving you meaningful influence across the technology stack and product experience.

You will contribute to a growing codebase while helping establish engineering standards, practices, and culture from an early stage.

Collaboration is central, with close partnerships across Engineering, Design, Operations, and technical leadership.

You will work in a fully remote environment with a strong focus on autonomy, product quality, scalability, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants to combine hands-on technical ownership with the opportunity to shape an evolving AI-focused product.

Accountabilities:

• Partner with technical leadership and engineering teammates to prioritize, plan, and execute the product roadmap.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software features and components across the full technology stack.
• Own engineering initiatives end to end, from technical design and implementation through delivery and ongoing improvement.
• Build robust, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested applications with a strong focus on software quality.
• Develop modern frontend experiences using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and related technologies.
• Work with application data and analytics using MongoDB and BigQuery.
• Deploy and manage applications and services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Contribute to automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering processes that support reliable delivery.
• Help establish and evolve engineering best practices, technical standards, and development workflows as the organization grows.
• Collaborate closely with Design and Operations teams to translate business and user needs into effective product solutions.
• Contribute to multiple AI-focused product engineering initiatives and help identify opportunities to apply emerging AI capabilities.
• Participate in technical discussions, architectural decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer or strongly frontend-focused Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript across frontend and backend development.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade applications with React.
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js.
• Practical experience using MongoDB as an application database.
• Familiarity with BigQuery and querying large datasets for analytics or data-driven applications.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with automated testing, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, scalable architecture, maintainable code, and quality-focused development practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working with senior technical leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-focused product development and the ability to contribute across multiple engineering workstreams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
• Candidates must be based in Canada or the United States and able to work within an Americas-compatible remote environment.
