Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A and Strategic Finance based in United States.

The Senior Manager, FP&A and Strategic Finance will serve as the analytical engine behind a fast-growing sports and entertainment business.

This hands-on role will own a rolling three-year integrated financial model covering the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.

You will build and maintain the forecasting engines that translate operational drivers into reliable financial projections and strategic insights.

The position combines deep financial modeling expertise with business judgment across events, sponsorships, ticketing, merchandise, media, host markets, and workforce planning.

You will work closely with the CFO, accounting, financial systems, and operational teams to ensure forecasts remain accurate, connected, and decision-ready.

Your analysis will directly support annual planning, liquidity management, investment decisions, scenario planning, and investor and board discussions.

This is an opportunity for a highly analytical finance professional to have significant ownership and influence in a rapidly evolving organization.

Accountabilities:

    • Own and operate the rolling three-year integrated financial model, maintaining a fully articulated three-statement model covering the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
    • Ensure the integrated model remains accurate, accounting-correct, internally consistent, and responsive to changing assumptions, with cash flow properly derived from the P&L and balance sheet.
    • Build, maintain, and refine the operational forecasting modules that feed the integrated financial model and serve as the foundation for business planning and decision-making.
    • Develop event cost unit economics and per-event P&L models that provide visibility into live-event spending, cost drivers, and opportunities for optimization.
    • Build sponsorship revenue forecasts by translating contracted, weighted, and open pipeline opportunities into reliable financial assumptions.
    • Develop event-level ticketing forecasts incorporating demand, pricing, and revenue assumptions.
    • Model merchandise performance, including sell-through and margin assumptions across events and sales channels.
    • Develop long-range financial models for media and broadcast strategies, including the economics of league intellectual property and future broadcast arrangements.
    • Model the economics of host-market arrangements and assess their impact on individual events and consolidated financial results.
    • Build detailed headcount and compensation models by department, incorporating salaries, payroll taxes, benefits, bonus accruals, hiring cadence, and employee ramp timing.
    • Lead annual operating plan development, including target setting, prior-year bridges, assumptions, and financial outlooks.
    • Manage regular reforecasting cycles and ensure updated operational assumptions are accurately reflected in the integrated model.
    • Develop working-capital, liquidity, collections, payment-timing, short-term cash, and runway models to support effective financial management.
    • Build business-case and scenario models for new events, potential host markets, capital allocation decisions, and other strategic initiatives, ensuring these analyses connect back to the core financial model.
    • Prepare base, upside, and downside scenarios, cash forecasts, and other financial analyses to support executive, investor, team owner, and board discussions.
    • Translate complex financial analysis into clear recommendations and materials that enable leadership and investors to understand key assumptions, risks, opportunities, and expected outcomes.
    • Partner closely with accounting and controllership teams to incorporate actual results, true up forecasts, and maintain clean handoffs between the books and the financial model.
    • Collaborate with financial systems teams to reconcile model outputs with ERP, CRM, and other source systems, ensuring forecasts remain aligned with underlying operational data.
    • Work cross-functionally with Host Markets Development and other operational teams to evaluate and model future expansion opportunities.
    • Support broader FP&A activities, including reporting, variance analysis, planning cadence, and other finance initiatives as needed.
    • Requirements:

      • Extensive financial modeling experience, ideally developed in investment banking, buy-side investing, management consulting, or an equivalent analytical finance environment.
      • Demonstrated mastery of three-statement financial modeling, including strong understanding of how and why the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement interact.
      • Strong accounting knowledge and the ability to build models that remain financially and structurally sound as assumptions change.
      • Proven experience developing integrated financial models, operational forecasting models, business cases, scenario analyses, and long-range financial plans.
      • Strong understanding of FP&A principles, including annual operating plans, reforecasting, working capital, liquidity management, cash forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
      • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to identify inconsistencies, risks, and meaningful business trends.
      • Ability and willingness to work deeply within financial models on a day-to-day basis, with genuine enthusiasm for building, testing, refining, and owning complex analytical models.
      • Strong strategic thinking and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect financial assumptions to operational drivers and business outcomes.
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial models, assumptions, scenarios, and recommendations to senior executives, investors, board members, and cross-functional stakeholders.
      • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with accounting, financial systems, operations, executive leadership, and other business teams.
      • Experience with sports, media, entertainment, live events, or other event-driven businesses is strongly preferred.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
      • Comfortable operating with significant ownership and limited supervision while maintaining strong financial discipline and accountability.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive compensation aligned with the seniority and strategic scope of the role.
        • Opportunity to own the core financial model supporting a rapidly growing sports and entertainment business.
        • Remote work opportunity within the United States.
        • Direct partnership with the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership on high-impact financial and strategic decisions.
        • Significant exposure to investors, board-level planning, strategic scenarios, and capital allocation decisions.
        • Opportunity to work across diverse revenue and operational drivers, including live events, sponsorships, ticketing, merchandise, media, host markets, and workforce planning.
        • High degree of ownership and autonomy over the organization's financial modeling and forecasting infrastructure.
        • Opportunity to influence expansion strategies, business cases, liquidity planning, and long-term financial performance.
        • Cross-functional collaboration with accounting, financial systems, operations, and business development teams.
        • Opportunity to work in a fast-moving environment undergoing significant growth and organizational transformation.
        • Full-time position with the flexibility associated with a remote U.S.-based work environment.
