Senior .NET Backend Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior .NET Backend Developer based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to build and evolve high-impact backend solutions in a fully remote environment focused on modern software engineering.

You will develop scalable APIs and services using C# and the latest versions of the .NET platform.

The role combines hands-on development with architectural contribution, performance optimization, and technical decision-making.

You will work with cloud-native technologies, including Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, supporting reliable production environments.

Observability, automated testing, microservices, asynchronous communication, and DevOps practices are central to the engineering approach.

You will collaborate closely with other developers, contribute to technical standards, and help raise the overall quality of the team.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex backend challenges while delivering secure, resilient, and maintainable systems.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain backend APIs and services using .NET Core, .NET 8, and newer versions of the .NET platform.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical design of new features while continuously improving existing systems.
• Build reliable, maintainable solutions following engineering principles such as SOLID and Clean Architecture.
• Ensure software quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing.
• Design, implement, and evolve observability capabilities covering application metrics, logs, and distributed traces.
• Use monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace to assess application availability, health, and production performance.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), supporting the deployment and management of cloud services, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and support microservices architectures and integrations between distributed backend services.
• Implement asynchronous communication, queues, and messaging solutions using technologies such as Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, investigate root causes, and implement effective optimization strategies.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and delivery practices based on Scrum or Kanban.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance that contributes to the continuous evolution of the development team.
• Collaborate with other technical stakeholders to improve engineering practices, reliability, scalability, and delivery quality.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience as a Senior Backend Developer or in an equivalent senior software engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and .NET 8 or later versions.
• Proven experience developing and integrating APIs in production environments.
• Practical experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Experience using Dynatrace for application monitoring, distributed tracing, observability, and performance analysis.
• Practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native application environments.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and distributed backend systems.
• Knowledge of asynchronous communication, queues, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of SOLID, Clean Architecture, and modern software engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when diagnosing technical and performance issues.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with development and cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
