This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Owner (Application Experience) based in United Kingdom.
This is a high-ownership product leadership role focused on transforming an existing AI-powered prototype into a reliable, user-facing product.
You will own the full journey from product vision and MVP definition through launch, scaling, and ongoing operation.
The role combines product management, AI quality, operational excellence, and team building in a strategically important product area.
You will define how AI and human intervention work together while establishing measurable standards for quality, efficiency, coverage, and user trust.
You will also build the monitoring, support, escalation, and operating processes needed to keep the product dependable in production.
Starting with a lean setup, you will shape and grow the engineering and operational team required to support the product as it scales.
This role is ideal for a product leader who enjoys ambiguity, takes end-to-end ownership, and wants to build both the product and the organization around it.
Accountabilities:
- Own the product end-to-end, taking an existing prototype through MVP definition, launch, scale, and development into a revenue-generating premium product.
- Define the product vision and translate it into a structured roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on user needs, business impact, and measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain a high-quality product backlog covering epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative releases.
- Design the human-in-the-loop experience, determining where AI can operate autonomously and where human review or intervention is required.
- Establish measurable success criteria covering product quality, coverage, operational efficiency, user trust, and other relevant performance indicators.
- Own the legal, consent, compliance, and sensitive-data considerations associated with the product, working with Legal and leadership to resolve go/no-go decisions before launch.
- Coordinate dependencies across Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, Customer Support, Marketing, and the wider technology platform.
- Treat the product as a live operational service, accounting for changing third-party environments and the ongoing challenges of automation-dependent systems.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, escalation, and support processes so operational issues are identified and addressed before they affect customers.
- Define the operating cadence, including daily health indicators, weekly reviews, escalation procedures, and criteria for launch blockers versus accepted residual risks.
- Shape the organizational structure required to support the product, starting lean and expanding the team as the product and operational demands grow.
- Help recruit and develop the engineering and operational capabilities required to turn the prototype into a reliable, user-facing product.
- Provide clear specifications and direction for engineers while creating operating models that teams can execute consistently.
- Continuously evaluate product and operational performance and use real-world feedback, experimentation, and data to drive improvements.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management, ideally within data-driven, platform, marketplace, or similarly complex environments.
- Proven experience taking an early-stage capability or prototype through development and launch into a product that is actively used by customers at meaningful scale.
- Experience owning a product beyond launch, including responsibility for quality, reliability, operational processes, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience establishing quality and evaluation frameworks for AI-driven products, with the ability to define measurable standards and assess whether the product is performing against them.
- Experience operating live customer-facing products, including ownership of monitoring, quality management, incident processes, escalation paths, or other operational workflows.
- Proven ability to shape and build teams around a product, including defining roles, hiring or developing specialists, and determining the appropriate team structure as needs evolve.
- Comfortable working with AI and LLM-driven products, including understanding agent behavior and balancing quality, performance, cost, and user experience without necessarily being a hands-on developer.
- Strong analytical judgment and fluency in metrics, OKRs, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous and high-stakes topics involving legal considerations, compliance, sensitive data, and operational risk and drive them toward clear decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear specifications for engineering teams, establish practical operating processes, and align leadership around product strategy.
- Strong ability to create structure and clarity in environments where processes, teams, and product direction are still being established.
- Fluent English, as the primary working language.
- Experience with compliance, consent, data protection, or other sensitive-data requirements is an advantage.
- Experience across B2C and B2B products or marketplace environments is beneficial.
- Strong UX instincts and experience partnering with design teams to translate user needs into clear, effective product flows are a plus.
- Experience hiring or developing specialist engineering, operations, or support roles is advantageous.
- True end-to-end ownership of a strategically important AI-driven product.
- Leadership backing to define and build the team needed to take the product from prototype to production.
- The opportunity to combine greenfield-style product development with the stability of an established and profitable organization.
- A role spanning both product development and live operations, with ownership extending beyond launch.
- A credible growth path toward leading the live product and the dedicated team supporting it.
- Direct collaboration with experienced teams across Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, Customer Support, and Marketing.
- Fully remote work with flexibility across Europe.
- Access to a modern technology environment.
- Annual company summer getaway.
- Team meetups across the European Union.
- A positive, diverse, supportive, and collaborative working culture.
- The opportunity to work on products designed to improve the job-search experience for users globally.
