Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager: Medical Communications based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead complex medical communications programmes supporting pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.

You will oversee multiple accounts and workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery across publications, advisory boards, medical education, and other communications initiatives.

The role combines strategic project oversight with hands-on management of timelines, budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams.

You will work closely with clients, authors, healthcare stakeholders, and internal teams to keep programmes aligned and moving efficiently.

Your expertise will help ensure publications and communications materials meet quality, compliance, and industry standards.

You will also play a key role in identifying risks, managing scope, and resolving delivery challenges before they impact project outcomes.

The position offers a fully remote, collaborative environment with opportunities to grow your expertise within the medical communications field.

Accountabilities:

    • Manage multiple client accounts and project workstreams simultaneously, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, status reports, hot sheets, Statements of Work (SOWs), and financial tracking documentation.
    • Lead publications project management activities across manuscripts, abstracts, and posters, coordinating author review cycles, publication timelines, journal requirements, and adherence to Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
    • Coordinate advisory board programmes from initial planning and logistics through briefing materials, meeting execution, and post-meeting reporting.
    • Oversee the development and delivery of medical communications materials, including presentation decks, training resources, medical education content, and related deliverables.
    • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, financial tracking, and cross-functional teams across a portfolio of programmes.
    • Coordinate and facilitate MLR review processes, helping ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met while keeping client review cycles on schedule.
    • Proactively identify and communicate project risks, scope changes, resource constraints, and delivery challenges, implementing solutions to keep programmes on track.
    • Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear communication and maintaining strong project visibility throughout delivery.
    • Requirements:

      • 4-6 years of project management experience within a medical communications agency or a related healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
      • Strong hands-on experience managing publications programmes, advisory boards, and a range of medical communications deliverables.
      • Demonstrated expertise in project budgeting, resource planning, financial tracking, and overall programme coordination.
      • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance requirements and MLR review processes.
      • Familiarity with publication workflows, author engagement, journal submission requirements, and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
      • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
      • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with clients, cross-functional teams, authors, and other stakeholders.
      • Proven ability to identify risks, resolve challenges, manage changing requirements, and maintain delivery momentum in a fast-paced environment.
      • Highly collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
      • Benefits:

        • Compensation of $100,000-$115,000.
        • Fully remote working arrangement.
        • 20 days of paid annual leave, prorated for new starters, with additional entitlement considered for more senior hires.
        • Company-paid life insurance.

        • Employee referral opportunity offering up to $2,500 for a successful permanent hire referral.
        • One additional PTO day for each year of service after the third anniversary, up to five additional days.
        • Monetary awards at the 5-, 10-, and 15-year service milestones.
