This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer - SDLC based in Brazil.
This is a senior technical and consultative role focused on modernizing the software development lifecycle through engineering excellence and applied AI.
You will work alongside development teams on strategic projects, helping evolve architecture, practices, tools, and delivery processes.
A key focus will be identifying and implementing practical applications of Generative AI and LLMs to improve software productivity, quality, and efficiency.
You will contribute hands-on to production-grade software while supporting modernization and distributed application initiatives.
The role also involves mentoring developers and enabling teams to adopt AI-assisted engineering practices with greater autonomy.
You will operate in a collaborative, client-facing environment where technical influence, experimentation, and measurable outcomes are highly valued.
Accountabilities
Act as a technical reference for client development teams, supporting architecture, development, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) decisions.
Adapt and implement software engineering and AI-enabled development solutions according to the technical context and needs of each project.
Identify and implement opportunities to use AI to improve software development productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Support the adoption of AI Coding tools and AI-assisted development practices, including code generation, testing, documentation, and automation.
Develop, maintain, and evolve production-grade software applications.
Contribute to technology modernization initiatives, architecture evolution, and platform improvements.
Mentor software developers and promote engineering best practices, modern SDLC approaches, and responsible use of AI.
Evaluate the results and impact of AI-enabled solutions, using evidence and feedback to improve adoption and help teams become increasingly autonomous.
Contribute to initiatives involving distributed systems, integrations, cloud platforms, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
Solid professional experience in software development and building applications for production environments.
Strong understanding of the complete SDLC, including development, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
Practical experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) applied to software development.
Hands-on experience with AI Coding, code generation, automated testing, documentation, or development workflow automation using AI.
Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and effective interaction patterns with LLMs.
Familiarity with AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and different LLM models and providers.
Experience designing and developing distributed applications.
Professional experience with Java, Node.js, Python, .NET, or another modern backend programming language.
Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and databases.
Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and development automation.
Strong communication, technical influence, and consultative skills.
Advanced English proficiency for both written and verbal communication.
Experience with Agentic SDLC or AI-agent-assisted software development is a plus.
Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development or Contract-First approaches is a plus.
Experience modernizing legacy systems using AI is a plus.
Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
Experience with observability, security, and performance in distributed systems is a plus.
Previous consulting experience or experience working directly within client project teams is advantageous.
