This is an exciting opportunity to build developer tools used daily by engineering teams around the world to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize complex systems. The role combines product thinking, frontend engineering excellence, and performance optimization to create intuitive experiences for highly data-intensive applications. You will work on challenging problems involving large-scale visualizations, complex workflows, and real-time data interactions, transforming sophisticated technical concepts into seamless user experiences. Collaborating closely with product, design, backend engineers, and leadership, you will have significant ownership over both technical decisions and product direction. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex frontend challenges, care deeply about usability and performance, and thrive in high-impact, remote-first environments.
Accountabilities:
- Design and develop complex frontend workflows across dashboards, logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and infrastructure monitoring experiences.
- Own large frontend features and systems end-to-end, from problem definition and architecture to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Translate technically complex concepts into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that improve developer productivity and incident resolution.
- Architect scalable frontend systems with a strong focus on performance, leveraging techniques such as virtualization, progressive loading, smart caching, and selective rendering.
- Identify, profile, and resolve performance bottlenecks in large datasets, visualizations, and highly interactive user interfaces.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, design systems, engineering standards, and best practices to support long-term scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and leadership teams to define and deliver impactful product experiences.
- Engage directly with users to gather feedback, understand pain points, and continuously improve workflows and usability.
- Mentor peers and contribute to raising engineering quality through technical guidance, reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Support the evolution of a growing frontend codebase while balancing performance, maintainability, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- Strong experience building production-grade frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing complex, highly interactive, or data-intensive web applications.
- Deep understanding of React rendering behavior, state management patterns, and frontend performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience using browser profiling, debugging tools, and performance monitoring methodologies.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to think beyond individual screens and consider end-to-end user journeys and system interactions.
- Experience architecting scalable frontend systems and making thoughtful trade-offs between user experience, maintainability, and delivery timelines.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and proactively drive initiatives forward.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and enthusiasm for tackling technically complex domains.
- Familiarity with observability concepts, monitoring platforms, or developer tools is advantageous but not required.
- Experience with large-scale visualizations, distributed systems interfaces, or enterprise developer platforms is considered a strong plus.
