This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (Cloud Capacity) based in Ireland.
Join a fast-growing technical organization building infrastructure for the global AI economy and large-scale cloud workloads.
You’ll own capacity planning and expansion across multiple data centers, ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with customer demand.
Working at the intersection of data analytics, infrastructure engineering, procurement, operations, and product, you’ll turn consumption trends into concrete infrastructure requirements.
You’ll analyze usage patterns, build forecasts, identify capacity risks, and coordinate expansions from initial planning through customer availability.
The role combines hands-on quantitative analysis with complex program management across independent technical and business teams.
Your decisions will directly influence infrastructure readiness, resource availability, operational efficiency, and the ability to scale cloud services reliably.
This is an ideal opportunity for a data-driven technical program leader who enjoys solving complex capacity challenges and taking ownership from forecast to execution.
Accountabilities
- Analyze historical and current consumption of cloud resources to identify trends, anomalies, demand patterns, and potential capacity constraints.
- Build and maintain capacity forecasts for compute, storage, and other infrastructure resources across multiple data centers.
- Translate demand forecasts into concrete infrastructure requirements, including the number and type of additional servers and resources needed.
- Initiate capacity requests and work closely with Supply Chain teams throughout procurement, purchasing, delivery, and deployment.
- Maintain an end-to-end view of capacity expansion projects, from demand forecasting and requirements definition through procurement, delivery, installation, deployment, and customer availability.
- Coordinate expansion plans with data center operations teams, including installation schedules, infrastructure readiness, and deployment dependencies.
- Work closely with engineering teams to plan and coordinate the deployment of new capacity.
- Track project timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers while proactively driving resolution across teams.
- Provide engineering, product, business, and leadership stakeholders with clear and reliable information about capacity plans, delivery timelines, current status, risks, and dependencies.

- Strong analytical background with the ability to work confidently with quantitative data and use it to guide operational and strategic decisions.
- Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and forecasting methodologies, including their practical limitations and appropriate use cases.
- Ability to understand technical infrastructure constraints and communicate effectively with engineers and technical specialists.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex work across multiple independent teams without relying on formal authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and analytical information into clear plans, decisions, risks, timelines, and status updates for different audiences.
- Strong ownership mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying risks, driving decisions, following up on actions, and delivering outcomes.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, particularly when managing multiple dependencies and competing capacity requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities, forecasts, and infrastructure needs can evolve.
- Previous experience as a data analyst, product analyst, or similar analytical role before transitioning into program or project management is a strong advantage.
- Ability to independently query and analyze data using SQL is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and business intelligence tools such as Grafana, DataLens, or similar platforms is desirable.
- Experience with capacity planning, demand forecasting, infrastructure resource management, or cloud resource optimization is highly valued.
- Understanding of cloud or data center infrastructure, including servers, racks, compute, storage, networking, and operational dependencies, is a strong advantage.
