Profile match
Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Inventory Specialist-Gas Power Generation based in United States.

The Site Inventory Specialist supports the successful delivery of large-scale gas power generation construction projects by managing critical inventory activities across the jobsite. This role serves as a key connection between field construction teams, supply chain functions, transportation partners, and suppliers. You will help ensure equipment, materials, consumables, tools, and other construction supplies are accurately ordered, received, tracked, stored, and available when needed. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of inventory processes and standards within an expanding energy construction environment. Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic field setting. The position is project-based and requires relocation to assigned construction sites for the duration of each project.

Accountabilities:

    • Collaborate with project teams, Trade Superintendents, Field Construction Coordinators, and Supply Chain teams to manage inventory activities for equipment, incorporated materials, consumables, tools, rigging, and other construction supplies.
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of purchasing and inventory management processes, serve as a primary liaison between field operations and supply chain teams, and provide guidance and training to site personnel on relevant processes.
    • Initiate and track material orders through ERP and other purchasing, supplier, transportation, and logistics systems, while maintaining required site access and inventory documentation.
    • Generate and process field and purchase requisitions, receiving reports, storage location information, inventory lists, delivery exception reports, non-conformance documentation, and warranty claims.
    • Coordinate and schedule material deliveries with truck drivers and transportation providers, communicate delivery plans with offload crews, and provide guidance on receiving inspections and the collection and flow of shipping documentation.
    • Work with Trade Superintendents to maintain accurate records of incorporated materials, conduct regular inventory audits, and compare materials received and installed against project inventory plans and tracking documents.
    • Monitor equipment and material status, identify potential impacts from schedule deviations or critical-path items, and work with project and supply chain teams to resolve inventory-related concerns and provide relevant updates to daily planning activities.
    • Maintain appropriate communication with suppliers and project owners, following established supply chain protocols and escalation procedures.
    • Support transportation and Department of Transportation coordination activities as requested by the project team.
    • Assist with compiling documentation required for incorporated materials, including receiving logs, mill certificates, test reports, cut sheets, and other records needed for project turnover.
    • Support final inventory transfers, jobsite closeout activities, and the preparation of additional inventory reports or documentation needed to facilitate supplier invoice processing.
    • Conduct physical inventories when required and ensure inventory records accurately reflect materials and equipment available at the project site.
    • Requirements

      • Hold a two-year degree in a related field or possess an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
      • Bring previous industrial or commercial construction experience, with exposure to purchasing, inventory, material management, or supply chain processes considered valuable.
      • Demonstrate working knowledge of purchasing and material management practices and experience using ERP systems to manage orders, inventory, or related records.
      • Possess strong accounting, mathematical, and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and reconcile inventory information.
      • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, and comfortable working with digital inventory and reporting tools.
      • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats and demonstrate the confidence to deliver presentations or training to groups of up to approximately 10 people.
      • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, deliveries, and project requirements in a fast-paced construction environment.
      • Bring effective motivational and supervisory skills, along with the ability to collaborate across field operations, supply chain, transportation, and project teams.
      • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
      • Be willing to relocate to the assigned project site and remain there for the duration of each construction project.
      • Be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the role, including frequent standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds, pushing, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, climbing, and maintaining balance on platforms and ladders.
      • Be comfortable working outdoors and in varying jobsite conditions, including extreme heat and cold, wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, moderate noise, and potential exposure to electrical hazards.
      • Be able to work effectively in a field-based construction environment where physical activity and changing weather conditions are regular aspects of the role. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
      • Benefits

        • Competitive compensation ranging from $22.64 to $31.14 per hour, with individual compensation determined based on applicable experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
        • Eligibility for an annual bonus program in addition to base compensation.
        • Reimbursed lodging and per diem support while working at assigned project locations.
        • Access to a company-provided truck with a gas card for work-related needs.
        • A rotational project program that includes paid flights home, supporting employees who relocate for extended construction assignments.
        • 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums for employees.
        • 100% employer-paid dental insurance premiums for everyone enrolled in the plan.
        • A 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
        • Paid time off (PTO) to support personal needs and time away from the project environment.
        • Education assistance, including tuition reimbursement opportunities.
        • A supportive, employee- and family-focused workplace culture.
        • The opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting large-scale energy construction projects and contribute to the development of inventory and material management practices within an expanding power generation business.
