Social Storyteller

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Storyteller based in Brazil.

This role is designed for a highly observant content creator who can turn everyday experiences into compelling digital stories.

You will work closely with a senior business leader, following meetings, events, trips, conversations, and behind-the-scenes moments to identify valuable narratives.

The position combines storytelling, audiovisual production, copywriting, interviewing, editing, and social media expertise.

You will be responsible for the complete content journey, from identifying an idea and capturing the moment to editing, publishing, and analyzing performance.

The role requires strong editorial judgment, including knowing when to record, what to publish, and when discretion is essential.

The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with frequent travel, short turnaround times, and the need to work independently with professional equipment.

Accountabilities:

• Follow and document the daily routine: Accompany the executive across meetings, events, lectures, business visits, trips, and other commitments, identifying and capturing moments with strong content potential.
• Identify and build stories: Observe conversations, experiences, ideas, and everyday situations and transform them into authentic, relevant narratives without relying solely on predefined content briefs.
• Produce audiovisual content: Capture high-quality video, photography, and audio using smartphones, professional or semi-professional cameras, and other equipment appropriate to each situation and platform.
• Develop storytelling and scripts: Create content ideas, scripts, questions, hooks, titles, captions, and narrative structures that make real experiences and insights engaging and easy to understand.
• Edit and publish content: Independently edit and finalize audiovisual materials, adapting language, pacing, and formats for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other relevant digital channels.
• Conduct interviews and extract insights: Lead conversations and ask thoughtful questions that uncover stories, perspectives, experiences, and knowledge that can be transformed into valuable content.
• Create content in real time: Work quickly when events, trips, or relevant developments require content to be captured, edited, and published within short deadlines.
• Research trends and references: Monitor trends, formats, discussions, and references related to business, management, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future to identify new storytelling opportunities.
• Manage the content archive: Organize videos, photographs, interviews, recordings, stories, and other materials into a structured and reusable audiovisual library.
• Analyze content performance: Monitor metrics such as retention, reach, shares, saves, and interactions and use these insights to continuously improve themes, formats, and narratives.
• Collaborate with communication teams: Work closely with marketing and communication stakeholders when content opportunities connect with institutional initiatives, positioning, or the executive's professional journey.
• Protect confidentiality and reputation: Exercise sound editorial judgment and discretion when handling personal, business, and strategic information, carefully assessing what should be recorded, published, or kept private.
• Support travel-based coverage: Accompany frequent domestic and international trips, ensuring content can be captured, edited, and published even when working away from the usual base and under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Content production experience: Proven experience creating and producing content for social media, with hands-on experience in video capture and editing.
• Storytelling expertise: Strong understanding of storytelling, narrative construction, and the ability to transform real experiences into engaging digital content.
• Writing skills: Ability to develop scripts, hooks, captions, titles, and written content adapted to different digital formats and audiences.
• Audiovisual skills: Practical knowledge of video production using smartphones and professional or semi-professional cameras, including framing, lighting, and audio capture.
• Platform knowledge: Familiarity with the languages, formats, and content dynamics of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to conduct conversations, ask insightful questions, and uncover strong stories.
• Creative and proactive mindset: Strong observational skills, curiosity, creativity, initiative, and autonomy to identify opportunities and propose new content ideas.
• Agility and adaptability: Ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments and rapidly transform events and experiences into publishable content.
• Organization: Strong ability to manage files, equipment, content ideas, schedules, and multiple demands simultaneously.
• Discretion: High level of responsibility when handling personal, business, and strategic information, with strong judgment regarding confidentiality.
• Stakeholder interaction: Comfort working closely with entrepreneurs, executives, and diverse audiences in professional and public-facing environments.
• Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating content creation, audiovisual production, editing, and narrative development capabilities.
• Travel availability: Genuine availability for frequent travel within Brazil and internationally, including weekends and trips arranged with limited advance notice.
• Education: Higher education completed or in progress in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Audiovisual Production, Cinema, Design, or a related field is considered a plus.
• Additional skills: Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalent editing tools; photography and image treatment; personal branding; content production for executives, entrepreneurs, creators, specialists, or public figures; event and travel coverage; content performance analysis; and AI tools applied to content creation are all considered valuable differentiators.
